Even though I was very disappointed in how Effy's story played out, its realistic. People die from cancer, when you do something blatantly illegal you will get arrested, and life is not a happily ever after even if we want it to be.

Like in her youth, it seems everything she touches turns to ka ka. She also tends to hurt and take 'others' down with her. I was more saddened, even horrified by James Cook's story and how it ended. I was glad to see them again though.

The thing that broke my heart is not the fact that they killed Naomi, or that "Naomily" ended, but the way they tortured Emily. It was too much, that New York thing. I really believed Emily deserved a lot better future since I saw her in s3. She was clearly a person meant to be happy, after some shit (mainly caused by Naomi). She's not even 21 and it looks as if she won't ever be happy again. It's insane. They owed her a lot. If I cried yesterday, it was surely for Emily Fitch.

yeah nobody was expecting a full homage but it would nice if they showed a picture of them together on Effy's bedside or smt like that, so we could at least assume that Effy was still mourning for Freddie,but nothing, nada, rein, as if we forget all about our first love after 4 years, even nothing tragic had happened Effy would have remembered Freddie, I wonder what Luke Pasqualino thinks...Probably like everybody else he has moved on and still it must be hurtful not to be remembered even a bit

Look. I gotta be honest. Because young Effy was so creative and artistic even at the height of her breakdown, I found her working in the financial sector of the Hedge Fund Trade very unbelievable. These are the kind of people I always thought she would laugh and scoff at the first chance she got. To top it all off, the tragic end of Naomi & Emily's love story as a result of the former dying of cancer stole Effy's thunder. I felt like Fire should've been theirs since I lost interest in whether or not Effy got locked up for insider trading. Especially since she thought she could play the same games of manipulation as before and not pay the price of her actions.

I think a lot of us wanted them to come back to see what happened right after his death. We never got to see Effy's reaction/what happened to cook after he killed the doctor/Sid finding Cassie. Obviously she's not going to be crying about it everyday but finding out her reaction or what exactly helped her get over her teenage emotional issues (which had a lot to do with Freddie). That's a lot that we're missing from Effy. That's what I wanted to know from bringing the cast back.

Skins Fire was extremely disappointing, not even going to sugar-coat it. It sucked. It was horribly written and didn't live up to the expectations it was given. The cinematography was great, but Naomi's storyline and what they did to Naomily was stupid. I don't get why they had to bring them back just to do this. Effy's story was no better. We didn't get closure. Honestly, if we weren't so attached to Effy from previous seasons, I don't think Skins Fire would even be 'watchable'.

Nope I think it was said more like a gesture, like how they become so close over the years like a family, they always mentioned how they cried on their last they because they were also saying goodbye to the crew,how good friends they are and told a couple of times how surprised they were to find a new crew on SKINS FIRE, so my assumption is she was talking about a fictional family, I don't think neither Jack or Kaya ever thought about having a family at 18, they were too young for that back then

What're you talking about, Effy is known to always hide her true feelings, she didn't speak much until she was 14, and didn't know how to express her feelings towards Freddie until it was just too late, this is what she does, but it doesn't mean that she is over it, she continuously implies this by her nightmares, and psychological issues she has during generation 2, signaling that she never got over her brother being in a coma and returning into what he was, someone different.

Unfortunately, KZbin won't let me put the actual link in a comment, so just type "skins" into the search bar on Tubeplus, click on "TV" instead of "movies", click on the picture of Michelle, go to "episode 1", and where it says "HOST", scroll down and find the vidhog.com one. yes people die from cancer but cancer is also very heavy subject and people who had lost their loved ones to cancer affected by it, cancer subplot was quite half-baked and rushed, there were millions of questions left unanswered, to me that is lazy writing, I think JB was so focused on Effy, she didn't give any thought to cancer plot, to this day we don't even now which type of cancer Naomi suffered from, she was a major character and we never get to see her side of the story which is a shame...

She didn't do anything wrong, just bec she was a bit lost after uni and being a bit of a slob on the couch doesn't mean she deserved cancer, it breaks my heart we never get to see her side of the story, what she went through, it was only glimpses now and then, they shouldn't have such a limited screen time,cancer as a subplot was a bad idea imo..

The only thing that bothers me is that Tony hasn't been mentioned so far in Skins Fire except here in the bts. And I think that when they say that Effy's pushed the dark times from her mind from when she was a teen, I think it's safe to count Freddie in that hence why he's not mentioned. He saved her yeah, but if my boyfriend was killed by my therapist, I'd try and forget about that whole time too. Plus, Freddie was vanilla as fuck.

My guess is that they intentionally made Effys boss look like Freddie so they could tie the whole Freddie incident into the story somehow. Maybe she'll get freaked out while banging her boss later on because it'll remind her to much of Freddie. Then she pours her fucking guts out and we'll get to hear what we've been waiting years for
