I love how Emily glances at Katie before walking over to Naomi, showing that despite all the stuff that happened between the three of them, Katie knows that Naomi makes her sister so happy, and that they should be together, despite her own views.

Naomily has to be one Skins best written love stories. What I loved about the role reversal in terms of the chase was this. First it was Emily chasing after a distant and sexually confused Naomi. Then it was a guilty Naomi having to fight tooth and nail for Emily's forgiveness after her infidelity with the late Sophia was discovered. Em's every action to avenge it just screamed "How do you like it" or "fight for me". The beauty of this monologue for me was not only how much Nai Nai put her heart on the line and laid all her cards on the table but the way Em's barrier crumbled and her heart melted hanging on her every word. Their story should've ended here in triumph.

@Senate300 I really agree with you on your take on the 2nd gen. But for me Naomily's journey wouldn't have been complete if their relationship didn't get tested the way they did on s4. I mean we all felt and i think in some ways experienced too their emotions. our hearts broke as well when theirs broke... I fell in love with them on s3 but s4 made me feel so much more for them becoz of what they had gone through. Plus they ended happily. so I guess atleast they didn't end up like freffy did?

they're the ONLY couple in skins who did end up together. Even Sid/cassie was open-ended. I think the writers would have experienced serious reactions, rallies and backlashes if they did make Naomily's reconciliation happen. IMO a happy ending was their only choice coz Naomily's fandom is SOOOO HUGE, THEY REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY CHOICE but to make them END GAME!!!

I love this so much but can somebody explain to me what it means when she says 'to kind of spite you for having that hold on me' and 'I didn't want to be a slave to the way I feel about you.' It's a beautiful confession but I've never quite fully understood what she means by these two lines

Its basically that's she wants to be her own person and she's very insecure about how she feels; she is also scared of having her heart broken. Essentially Emily can mess up her life because Naomi really loves her (so if Emily cheated or died or whatever Naomi would be ruined) and Naomi couldn't really deal with it, so She instead she 'spites' her - does that make sense?
