It's your lucky day! I live about a hundred miles as the Raven flies from Skinwalker Ranch along the same geologic formation. I can tell you they can take control of animals. I came here as a non believer. I had an encounter with a medicine man on a city bus! He spoke Navaho and was signing in plains sign language. The weird thing was I could understand him, but, nobody else could! The French family and other tourist riding the city bus to the Grand Junction Airport were freaked out! Here I am engaging in a bizarre interaction with a king haired old Indian that looked like he could rip somebody's head. He was also yee hawing and adding vocalizations to the spectacle. At the end of the conversation I understood that the meaning of the conversation was: I am the Coyote. Then I said I am the Coyote! And he nodded, yes.

Wendigo is not a shapeshifter.

In some myths and legends of the Algonquin-speaking peoples, those who commit sins such as selfishness, greed, or cannibalism, are turned into a Wendigo - as punishment. So on that regard I'd consider them shapeshifters although I admit maybe that is the wrong terminology as they can't transform back. They can however mimic voices which I'd argue is in the same sort of area. I think I should do a video on them so I can research even more.

I am Navajo and honestly skinwalkers are real but they are very scared of us then we are to them. Theres all these types of stories i hear from my parents to relatives and friends and they all have the same story, saying that all the skinwalkers run away majority of the time. I have witnessed a few of them but they like to hide becuz they are really afraid, sure they try to scare you but you are more scarier to them😂😂😂
