Agree with Shannon and Skip on all points except Eli saying good-bye to the Giants. For certain, Eli wanted to retire a Giants. Shannon was dead center of target in terms of Giants owner making the decisions and Skip also on target in terms of owner hippocrisy, Eli being beloved and fan backlash, PR fiasco, on and on. Manning was the face of the Giants for 14 years and the owners/coach don't even consult with the guy? He should have been included in discussion/decision before the fact. Just poor leadership starting at the very top.

They never would've consistently drafted or traded for 1st and 2nd round picks at WR if it was Geno Smith! Eli's barely above 50% completion rating despite having pro bowlers at WR,TE and RB was terrible. Eli Manning has been getting blasted all year by that wax-paper O-line. Ben puts Geno in, thinking he was more mobile. Geno got blasted by that wax-paper O-line. Davis Webb has *no chance* behind that O-line because he can't read NFL defenses yet. The goal of the Giants should be 6-10, not draft pick #2 - "you play to win the game", as Giants-killer Herm Edwards famously said - and Eli gives them the best chance at 6-10 over Geno and Davis.
