Just my impression of Shanon Sharpe throughout all his appearances on Undisputed: He makes EXTREMELY sound arguments consistently. His enthusiasm and energy is just an added bonus. I'm a huge MMA fan and I love Conor, but Skip is totally off on this one. Conor WAS outclassed. That isn't to say that he doesn't deserve props: he ABSOLUTELY deserves props for what he went out and did. But Floyd is a master in a boxing ring. His experience carried the day. Congrats on 50-0. If Conor decides he wants to box again, he should get Floyd to come and help in his camp. Now THAT would be fascinating. It's clear they've got good energy between them now. As a fan, that is something I would really like to see. Outside of that though, I really hope the bulk of Conor's future is in the octagon, whatever business endeavors most excite him, and maybe some movies.

The counter argument to Skip's 9th round from Shannon was beautiful. How can you say that though? all the people (including conor) who say conor did amazing are the same people who say Mayweather hasn't got a knockout in years yet he got a TKO against your guy who is so great. The ONLY reason it went 10 rounds is Floyd's gameplan. he sat back and literally pushed forward to tire and feel him out for the first 3 rounds. he only threw 4 punches the first round. It was by round 5 it was obvious Floyd had it in the bag. To me it was at least. He knew that if he kept pressuring him and picked up the pace he would tire him out. Not only that, he knew conor has no power moving back on his heels. It's only 10 rounds because that's how long it took Floyd's plan to develop. Seriously, EVERY SINGLE THING floyd said that was going to do, actually happened in the fight. Floyd said he was going to get hit because he was going to move forward and be the aggressor which he did. So of course Conor is going to land more than Pacquiao. Floyd ran from Pacman. Not only that, Floyd said he was going to end it which he did. However, EVERYTHING Conor said was going to happen didn't. he said all he needed was that one punch...didn't get it. He said he was going to knock him out in 4 rounds....didn't do it. He said he was going to stand in the middle of the ring and box...he backed away for 6 rounds from a guy 20 lbs less. To top it off, what are you expecting from Floyd? He's retired, smaller by 20lbs, is shorter, has a shorter reach, is 41 years old, and going against a guy who is known for his stand up and is in his prime. Floyd did it right from the get go. That is just the difference between a boxer and MMA standing up. In fact, Floyd is washed and showed is age that match. Put Conor against Brooks or Alvarez and see what happens.

The last few seconds Floyd backed off what he put on his punches. He could clearly see Conor was fading fast and didn't want to hurt him. Conor talking about let me fall is how guys get killed in the ring. Conor balled up while standing which is usually a plea to the ref to stop it without saying I quit. The outcome was exactly like as i predicted. But to be honest when both the fighters were throwing at the same time in the early rounds, mcgregor was getting the better out of it and winning some exchanges. So i was surprised a little bit. And people saying oh it was the game plan, that was the game plan for floyd to take advantage of in the fight because he knew he could get caught in the early rounds with his style. So that is a dumb point and i am a floyd fan. Let the man gass out by unloading himself and let him hit me are two different things. There is a lot of bias from both the sides actually. Skip being skip every time and refusing to accept some facts ( but he made few good points). Shannon is also biased according to me. He said conor was able to hit floyd because he was going forward. But guess what, he started to go forward with that hands up head to the chest stance after the 4th round so what was his point. Same goes for michael rapaport. Both the fighters performed well and should get their credit but floyd was the better man that night.

@Shane Williams. He actually made some valid points...especially punches thrown and landed. If McGregor had paced himself a little better - the last 2 rounds wouldn't have been so damaging to McGregor. The reality is Mayweather is a seasoned, conditioned boxer. THAT experience was there for everyone to see Saturday night. McGregor did well, but gassed out, and fatigue hits you hard when you throwing so many combinations...and there's no shame in that. A great boxer like Mayweather knew this and took his opportunity. And I'll tell you this Mayweather was is terrific shape and didn't look like he was a man approaching 50.
