Shannon messed up the baseball names, but he has a point... Football changes so often and has so many variables that it's pretty hard to compare records and I think that's why people don't know them as well. Baseball is obviously a team sport, but it's stats are mainly an individual achievement where your teammates don't play a huge factor. I didn't even realize that I can list a huge chunk of baseball records off the top of my head, but aside from the current TD record, I don't know many football ones.
