Also a strategy for discarding on the end of your turn is to discard a cards that’s 1 value lower then the card before. When you can play a card from one of your discard piles you can immediately play a the card(s) below it.

I hope you are doing well... I wanted to ask that can we lie about having 1 or wildcard at the beginning of the game? Or if we dont have 1 and we wildcard in our decks... Can we lie inorder the save the wildcard or it's compulsory? Also if we have already started ascending a community row then is it compulsory to start the second community row if we have 1 number card?

you can also use your turn to shift one card from one discard pile to an other, but cannot be done two turns in a row to avoid stalling

Good question. Yes you can use that strategy. Players are under no obligation to make a play if they don't want to.

@@TalhaMarwat-gk4yn I don't know why you're asking me this, but no it's not mandatory to play a Skip Bo card, or to start a new public pile with a 1 card if you have them, even when they are open on your personal pile or stock pile

I was taught that when starting a pile with skip-bo card since it was wild it could be start a pile as any number but the instructions make no mention of this and neither does any youtube videos I’ve found

@@dereknantz4847 it’s wild but as this video and the instructions state the piles must ascend from 1-12. Warping is for Super Mario Bros. not Skip-bos!

you might of shown but i cant find where, so my playing cards the 5 of them in my hand, not the discarded 4 piles, if i run out of my hand cards, do i win or do i have to deplete the discarded cards?

If you play out your whole hand (play, not discard) then you get to take five new cards from the draw deck and continue to play if you can. If you can’t simply discard a card like normal end of turn. It’s a bonus for playing out your hand.

Good question. You aren’t required to play any card if you want to hold back. The only required card to lay down on your turn is the one card to your discard spots, which ends your turn. That card could even be a Skipbo or 1 card if you’d like. In short you are not forced to play to the middle if you don’t want to.

What if the first player doesn't have 1 or skipbo card ? Or none of the players have.. then how do you start the game ??

Great question. If a player can't put a card in the middle, they must place a card down in their personal discard, leaving them with 4 cards, which means on their next turn they draw one new card. Eventually players will draw either a 1 or a Skip-bo card and the middle will start to fill up.

The colors are for number ranges. Blue 1-4 green 5-8 and red 9-12

Hi I’m not sure I understand the issue? To begin play a player must have 5 cards in their hand. If you have less than that you start your turn by drawing up to 5 cards. That’s what was demonstrated at 5:42.
