Skip Brompton bags. Use this brand instead

It helps me easily carry stuff while biking. It is called the Wotancraft Pioneer Basket Bag. I use it on grocery runs most of the time. The question is how much stuff can i haul if i do my grocery shopping with a bike?

3. How do you install it? (need frames) it securely clicks onto the front carrier block of the brompton
4. How much grocery can you put in it? 22L and more with the extended roll up
5. Does it crush the grocery items? i've had one instance when i put the bread underneath so be aware of that.
6. What if its not full how do you close without using the roll top extension? There's an adjustable strap on each side that you can use to secure the roll top of the bag.
7. What else can you use it for? I use it when i go do casual filming in the city. I put the equipment fully assembled with mic and handle.

Hey, can you keep the bag on the bike while folded? (With the handlebar out, like the shopping cart brompton)

You don’t have to remove the bag even during the process of folding or unfolding the bike. When using the bike like a shopping cart, I prefer handling it via the saddle instead of the handle bars. So I have the seat lifted and the handle bars folded when shopping. I find it easier to maneuver for some reason. But to answer your question, yes you could also push it via the handle bars if you prefer to move the bike that way.

It’s such a really nice bag and so functional. Don’t forget the offered attachments as well. It is invaluable because you have no place to put like small items inside the bag. Well there is a small zipper pocket inside but with your grocery items filling the bag it won’t be convenient to access it. Having the small attachment from outside is a smart addition 👍🏽

Awesome! I’m very happy with it. Apart from this one you might also need a smaller version. I’m eyeing one of their small bags just so I don’t have stuff in my pockets when I ride. but no money yet 😅

Much nicer bag but the price with custom fees and exchange rate makes it too expensive. I purchased the Pilot 10liter camera bag and the final price ended up over $500 Canadian ( include $120 of custom fees plus local sales taxes). Something to consider if price is an issue. Definite a better quality product but you have to assess based on your requirements, price etc. Also the frames are non standard so you have to buy the frame with the bag.

You are fortunate! Plus it is in US currency so you did not have to deal with exchange rates! When I visit Taiwan, maybe next year, I will drop by their store to check out their products.

Thanks for the video!, But unfortunately the price wouldn't be worth it with international shipping/custom fees. I'll be purchasing a Brompton model since my main goal is to only shop for odds and ends (farmer market and street vendor products), not so much grocery shopping inside a store. I'll be buying one later today from the Brompton store.

Understood. This is what seems like the main thing holding a lot of people from buying wotancraft products. At least that’s what I see online that has been constant issue. The cost. Not so much the product itself. I do hope they offer something down the line. Thanks for your feedback!

Wotancraft is wayiiiii to expensiv... A basket bag costs 129 and not only 89€ like the brompton bakset bag because you have to also buy the frame what costs 89$ extra

It’s true that they are more expensive but functionality wise I think wotancraft is much superior. Think about being able to maximize your load every time you do grocery. With the wotancraft you could use the roll top cover you could extend the capacity of the bag to more than 22L. You could carry more in one trip. I’m terms of value for your money I still think in the long run wotancraft has the edge

I purchased a khaki Wotancraft Basket Bag just a week or two ago. The one disappointing "weak-spot" for me when it arrived... would be the bottom of the bag. Mine has just one thin layer of Cordura on the bottom and nothing else. Given the price, I was somewhat surprised. But, design-wise, it is still a very nice bag (as your video shows). Does your bag have any reinforcement on the bottom layer? Did you have any concerns?

mine is the same just a single layer. I just put like a foam divider i have laying around in the house to support the bottom of the bag. The reason why i put foam divider is because I usually use this bag to bring my camera equipment. This somewhat protects my gear just in case (or at least psychologically it does lol) If i crash (knock on wood) it doesn't matter. If my gear goes flying in the air then so be it. lol As for concerns, i have none really. The bag is pretty solid for my use.

actually i just thought of one... i wished there was a way to hold the bag better when it is full (as in when the roll up portion is fully extended) I can't use the original straps as it is short. i also didn't want to use the shoulder strap. I don't really know what they could do. maybe i should just stop complaining. lol
