Russell Westbrook set the all-time triple-doubles record at 182 in last night's 125-124 loss against the Atlanta Hawks. After the game, the Washington Wizards' point guard talked about passing Oscar Robertson, saying quote 'You put so much into the game, so much time, you sacrifice so much, to be able to just be mentioned with guys like Oscar, Magic [Johnson] and Jason Kidd, those guys, is something I never dreamed about as a young kid growing up in LA. Normally I don't like to pat myself on the back but tonight I will. Just because I am so grateful for the ones before me and so blessed.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe share their biggest takeaways from Westbrook's historic night.

Shannon opens up with Russ not having an “efficient” game. The guy shoots 10-22 (3-7 from three), 5-5 FT, 13 REB, 21 AST, and only 3 turnovers. Why do they feel the need to judge Russ so harshly? I agree with most comments that it should always be about the team winning first not the personal stats. The Big O, won a title, an mvp and got his 3ple 2ble in a time where he had to make a career in a country and sport plagued with racism. Try playing the stat padding game in that era. Oscar Robertson is a winner while Russ got the record in a game where he had the last shot to potentially win the game but missed it. Enjoy the game ball Russ! I don't see many players lining up wanting to play with him.
