A look at the development of Skipton during the 19th century - the building of the textile mills as wella s short lived ventures like the Spa. Beyond the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, the town became a transport hub when it was connected to the national railway network with the construction of the Settle-Carlisle line. A line to Grassington is now used for the transportation of limestone from Swinden Quarry. It ends with the tradition of brewing from the Skipton Brewery to today's Copper Dragon Brewery.
