At the end when one the guy said that we have to make that jump in our lives, I thought about what I'm doing in my life. On May 19th of this year, I just graduated from high school & I'm moving on towards college after summer vacation. Moving out of high school & taking that jump start into college I don't know what to expect. All I know is that I'm growing up very quickly & starting on adulthood at this point in my life.

That is so awesome. The analogy of the parachute is great the comment of life abundant what would you do if you had to ditch a plane going down and you were the only one who had a parachute? how would you live after experiencing such an event. I would live life as though that moment was the only moment I had left, thankful that I had survived and I could spend the rest of my life with the ones I loved. So yeah life abundant.

@sikchild247 Trouble is, even when people are given all the information, they think they can wait to put on the parachute until the last second. They think they can take it off and be comfortable until the moment they make the jump. But quite often, the jump comes before they know it, and they don't have time to put on the parachute.

Analogy comes from Ray Comfort. He tells the very same story in his teaching on "Hell's best kept secret." I'm quite sure that's where these guys heard it. Still great stuff!

Good analogy. One caveat: if you jump out of a plane at 25,000 ft you're dead parachute or not unless you also have an oxygen mask because you'll pass out from oxygen deficiency and be unable to pull the ripcord.

This is a great video, and its so true! On the other hand. Im curious as to why didn't the flight attendant tell the first guy what he told the second guy? It seems like the flight attendant was a bit vague. So uh, no wonder the first guy didn't get the bigger picture opposed to what the flight attendant told the second guy. Either way if the first guy was told the same thing the second guy was told AND thenn still refused to put to the parachute I would get it and think to myself fair enough.

Good Question. Asking a question such as this is, important in understanding what you are getting into when believing in Christ and entering into the salvation that comes only from the Lord. Jesus tells us that if we chose to follow him, we will be hated, looked down upon, and even, for some of us, killed for our belief in him. Persecution is the word used to describe this, and it is clear throughout scripture, if the world does not hate you for your faith, then your doing something wrong.

@everyone61 It's all about love. Sure, God could make us not sin, and he could make us love him, but that wouldn't be true love. He wants us to choose to trust and love him, and to live our lives loving him and others. Making disciples in a sense. He loves us so much that he gives free will. I'm sorry if you can't see that, and I'm saddened to the core if you can't love God back. I'll pray that someday you will stop arguing, and start accepting this relationship God wants.

Ok so Hell is the last line of defense god uses in order to convince people to have have a relationship with him, right? Like if Im talking to an unbeliever, and tell him "Get salvation because having a relationship with god" and the unbeliever doesn't want a relationship, I should then say "Well, you will be the fuel to the every burning fires of hell! Repent or burn!!". Thats how it works right?

@Landofjello not at all. We can't completely ignore the reality of hell. Without the existence of hell, our free will would not even exist. Free will exists only because we have the choice of eternity spent in the presence of the one who created us or eternity away from Him. If the unbeliever doesn't want a relationship with God, that is his or her choice, and if they are so stuck in their ways there's no convincing them. However I believe even the hardest heart can be softened.

@NowAliveNHim We could say the same thing about Exodus. Most people do, but when you read it you will find out that in the end it states Moses dies which would be impossible for him to know. The only reason some aren't a YEC is because the evidence has become too overwhelming. Some believe in evolution too, but why not lose the idea of a deity all together. Statistics show more developed countries to have more atheists. Free people from war, suffering, unnecessary deaths and irrational thinking.

If your religion helps you in your life to make good decisions than great go ahead and pray, but all i want is the truth. I want to enjoy my life the way it was meant to be enjoyed. @everyone61 lust for your wife is good lust, all other lust corrupts you and eventually will either make you hate yourself, or self destruct. Or, for that matter sharing that with someone you won't 'love' just makes you keep seeking it, thus not getting to know someone for them and loving them unconditionally. The lust turns you into a judgmental shallow and hollow person. Been there done that... To that effect, lust is a requirement while married, that is if you are to procreate.

A leading physicist who is an agnostic, borders more on atheism, said no one can can prove God doesn't exist. Scientific atheism is a religious practice. He said this. I said "we don't know if a god exists or not" not "we know a god doesn't exist". We're certain that some planes crash, we're not certain that a god exists. Also, scientific atheism is definitely not a religion. You can't say "X believes this so it must be true". You haven't even cited this physicist. It's a terrible analogy because we know that planes crash and so we take effective safety measures. We don't know that a god exists so I'm not about to live my life as if there is one.

Salvation through Jesus means to know the reality of Jesus as the Messenger of Allah. And not to make him into Son of God. God is God because He is not like us - no sons, daughters, wives or husbands or relatives. So like the man says, 'One day we have to make the jump.' So make sure you have a parachute that works.
