Thanks for the video. Since you've driven them both... Imagine you were deciding between a 2015 Skoda TDI 4x4 VRS Estate and a 2013 Jaguar XF S Sportbrake... which would you have? Skoda is the sensible choice, Jag is the faster, potentially very expensive choice.

Both are totally different cars, I don't think its possible to really compare them to be honest. The Jag is the emotional choice. With its looks, handling and interior. Much more exotic than Skoda. Maintenance cost is going to be exotic too :-) Compare it with Mercedes, BMW, etc. Skoda is the practical and sensible choice. Comfortable A to B type of car. You're going to regret not getting the Jag, Skoda not so much.

Great video. Do you of any common issue with the 2.0 TDI? I'm considering the DSG but I'm not sure which of these two 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TDI works better with the DSG.

I would definitely go for the TSI unless you are doing enough miles for the diesel to be worth it. No major issues with the TDI except for the DPF being clogged frequently since it's mostly driven on shorter distances.
