Bro 15 lac model barely gives any luxury it even comes with halogen headlamps. And maruti 8 lac cars comes with led projectors. This competes only with civic and jetta . Adding 5 lacs to top model u can easily buy good loaded bmw or audi or merc

No not at all, The 1.4L(1395) engines produce 148bhp@4000-5000rpm and 250Nm@1500-3500rpm which is much greater than 1.5L and 1.6L engines in the market. Example, Honda city which has a 1.5L engine (1497 cc) only produces 117.3bhp@6600rpm and 145Nm@4600rpm of torque, this means the Honda city has a bigger engine but the Skoda Octavia has a more powerful engine despite of a smaller engine. hope you have understood it clearly. I bought Octavia in 2016 and done about 50k kms. I never had issue with gearbox anytime yet. The service is also improved a lot than what it used to be few years back. I still suggest to go for extended warranty which is a peace of mind in such cars. Trust me this car is beast when it comes to power and masterpiece when it comes to luxury and features. I have style plus variant (in today’s term it’s L&K).

These are two different products and segments can’t be compared. You look at the space, CLA is way too cramped inside, it’s almost like sitting in Swift Dzire. Am big fan of Merc and had done this comparison before buying Octavia, trust me never regretted my decision till date.

Everything's great in the car. But this crappy dsg gearbox is the main reason I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Its very unreliable. Go with the manual instead.
