Can’t believe no one is talking about this. NAW and Naz are both free agents next year (Naz will decline his player option and seek a raise. Zero chance he opts in). Timberwolves could lose both of them for nothing. Everyone talking about running it back needs to understand this. It’s more beneficial to make trades this offseason than next one. Either trade KAT for Murray + De’Andre Hunter or capitalize on Naz/NAW high value and get some picks
@pelicanhill32514 ай бұрын
I would still run it back. I don't think the Wolves would be a better team with Murray and Hunter versus keeping KAT. I don't think change for change sake makes sense when you get to the conference finals.
@peakyblinders81544 ай бұрын
@@pelicanhill3251 let’s not get it twisted. We got to the WCF because of that 22 year old Ant man. Murray and Hunter makes the Twolves WAY better. Adds a much needed shot creator and adds athleticism to the wing position. This is a wing led league bro. Look at Boston. Full of wings. Hell even 7’4 Wemby is a wing who can play SF/PF/C. This isn’t change for change sake. KAT is 9 years in. We know what he is. Truth is the dual big man lineup gets exposed in a matchup heavy NBA playoff atmosphere. We were built to beat the nuggets. But there’s 28 other teams too.
@pelicanhill32514 ай бұрын
@@peakyblinders8154 I could buy the argument that Murray and Hunter would make the Wolves better, but WAY better? No way. I mean, if they were that great, then the Hawks would have been better in the Leastern Conference. I think both of them are decent players, but if they are going to let go of KAT, I would like to get some 3 point shooting in return. Neither Hunter nor Murray are great shooters, they are just decent shooters. My thing is, no one even thought they were going to beat Phoenix, but they swept them and beat the defending champs. Don't throw it all away. At least give it one more run. Even the Dallas series was winnable. Give Ant another year of experience and he will make the same winning plays in the final minutes that Luka and Kyrie were making.
@peakyblinders81544 ай бұрын
@@pelicanhill3251 yes. WAY better. Everything is about fit and spacing now. KAT is a good 3point shooter but he doesn’t attempt many 3pt shots. Him and Rudy together clogs the floor for Ant. What do you mean no one thought they were gonna beat Phoenix? A couple talking heads on espn? So what. I knew they would spank Phoenix. Yall need to understand post-season ball is 100x different than regular season ball. Post season is about hunting matchups ever. Single. Possession. It’s ruthless. Adding Murray + Hunter gives the wolves better chances to beat an array of opponents cause they can play big, small, or throw a bunch of wings out there. Hunter and Murray are both improved shooters on high volume. Giving Ant another year has nothing to do with KAT. KAT had 8 years we know his ceiling and he doesn’t work nearly as hard as Ant does in the offseason. Ant improved his game more in one year than KAT has in 9 years. We have a special player. I’m not wasting anymore years of Ant because of an idea of What KAT could be one day. Look at Boston. They made 2 solid trades for Jrue Holiday and Porzingis. 2 guys that fit their system better. Twolves need more athleticism. We still got Naz and Miller to play big.
@Tmacademia4 ай бұрын
Both Naz and Naw would love to stay in Minnesota. I'm sure Connelly feels good about re-signing them if he wants to. He can pull the KAT lever if he wants to and make room for them. Gotta keep Naz in my opinion
