what I like about Terrortops is how it takes Whiplash's basic concept of combining a lifter with a spinning weapon and made something new and original with it.

Honestly, Terrortops is most interesting to me as an evolution of the meta. There's very few bots who are a significant threat to the underside of a bot, and this is just going to make that all the more important to have that kind of variable protection. Not unlike Tantrum vs. Witch Doctor, you have to prepare for that hit on the underside or you'll be limping the rest of the fight at best and outright doomed at worst.

Terrortops is either going to be a surprise rookie like Glitch and Riptide were last season, or they're going to be a normal, but still scary bot in the arena - they're going to break the meta either way, assuming the team can handle it. Also they have stickers, so that means they're awesome.

I'm liking this new trend of lifter/vert combos, not just Terrortops but Big Dill is doing it, looks like Jackpot is doing it with their self righter, and this isn't even factoring in if Whiplash is there (but that's more of a vert on a lifter than what the others are doing). But back to Terrortops, can we take a moment to appreciate the 𝔸 𝔼 𝕊 𝕋 ℍ 𝔼 𝕋 𝕀 ℂ? I don't know if the bone structure is going to be viable armor but from the sound of it it's not their actual armor, so it just looks cool, and then just that fully aesthetic tail to whip around? What a cool looking bot

I always liked designs that allowed the weapon to spin up protected so you can still be aggressive instead of running away in hopes that your opponent won't catch you and "jam up" your weapon to neutralize it. They have to worry about this lifter and getting turned over, then you hit them with the high KE. Great combo.

Except that's not a thing, except for horizontal spinners. Vertical spinners have no such fears, they're the most aggressive bots as their weapons can spin up in 2-3 seconds and even when not full spun up they can still deliver damage or work as control bots. I don't even remember ever seeing a vertical spinner running away from action. It's not really a thing. So having the spinner so reclused inside the bot is only gonna harm the overall game plan, there's no way around it. Terrortops is a solution loooking for a problem that doesn't exist. It's gonna perform poorly.

i love how that spinner can spin up in most situations because enemy is hold at reach essentially simillar to tantrums concept just without the overengineered puncher that always breaks i think i will absolutely love it essentially a controll bot with a hidden weapon and when you get your weapon out you have a chance to attack the udnerside of your enemy

One of my favorite things about triceratops is that well, we have another Dino bot I believe the last one was Rex, also I like how the spinner isn’t attached to lifter and they aren’t going the whiplash route

I love the I idea of the lifter is independent of the blade so that you can keep your opponents guessing on how your going to fight and you can move out of the way when your ready to smash

Terrortops to me is interesting because it seems to have a similar base to with doctor, which has always performed well, but has more front armor and utility with the lifting. And a dinosaur theme is super fun. 🦖

My favorite thing about Terrortops is that they really took the time to think about having the lifting arms separate to the spinner to be able to allow for the big hits. If its armor holds us, Terrortops is looking like it could be Wiplash with knockout power, can’t way to see how it fights!

Best thing for me about Terrortops is that it's combining bots and dinos, and for someone like me who grew up fascinated by Jurassic Park and all things dinosaur related, it's now one of my top 5 favorite bots I'll be routing for (Scorpios, Hydra, Beta and Tombstone are the other 4 btw). I've never won here on the channel, but I'd be happy with anything from Terrotops!

I'm interested in seeing how Terrortops performs because it is part of a new wave of Battlebots evolution I've noticed this year. The age old question is "kinetic energy or control", and now some teams seem to be answering with question by saying, "Why not both?" I kinda wondered how the bot would work, but as they were describing their battle plan, I found myself saying, "By Jove! That might just work!" Yes, I said, "By Jove!" A monocle may have spontaneously appeared on my face as I said it. Also, it's a dinosaur, and who doesn't love dinosaurs?

So the thing I take away from ripperoni is that the wedge side has a lot of weight fighting for ground game, while the other side is supposedly really light and easy to turn. Really looking forward to see what this means in the arena, how other bots are going to fight against an asymetrical design. The advantage will definitely be on ripperoni for the first few sides, as they will know what it's maneuvreability is both sides, and what are going to be good approach angles for them. A big thing in these heavy weapon showdowns is having the right approach, and that's exactly where I think ripper will get a few wins with.

Terrortops is absolutely cute! I love the triceratops aesthetic as well as the mix of lifter and vertical spinner! It reminds me of Whiplash but with a different strategy of putting the spinner behind the lifter and a much cuter aesthetic.
