When I was in highschool,THE radio station was WBCN.In 1977 I first heard reggae.Jimmy Cliff,Toots and the Maytals,the Skatalites,Jacob Miller,Bob Marley and the Wailers,Mighty Diamonds,Uroy,etc...Good to the "youth" listening to reggae .

@@kaeb11 WBCN had been a classical music station that switched over to rock and roll.The DJ's didn't work from a playlist.Peter Wolf,was a DJ on 'BCN 'til his weekend band hit big (The J.Geils Band)..Boston takes music seriously.When I started hearing "Funky Kingston","The Harder They Come","Catch A Fire",etc...I really was an instant fan.Saw Bob twice.Smoked with Ziggy at the Melody Makers first show in Providence,RI."Hit me with music,Hit me with music now!".
