Skrillex did for me while I was busy listening to riddim when I'm in my dubstep fase (I switch between gengres alot). What I heard from him wasn't really my thing but I didn't hear alot so can't base a valid opinion on his music from that. Scary monsters & nice sprites was a revelation for me though when I was younger but BAR9 midnight was the first dubstep song I heard and it's filthy af and more my thing dubstep wise. This is fucking insanely dirty and beautiful at the same time.

From an aspiring producers point of view. This is a sound engineering/mixing and mastering, Masterpiece. The amount of digital distortion, and yet the mix is still so clean played full blast in headphones, layers upon layers. Im near sure there's reverb on the kick drum too witch is just crazy to me. I love the off grid drums as a drummer, reminds me of Flume. Sonny is no. 1!!! period. Also Love you Noisia, thanks for all you've done. Respect josh & dylan. Can't wait for your 'albumsssss' Sonny ✌️

I ❤ your point of view as a producer I’m just an old head racer but learned alot from DJs producers too and I know what I hear I learned to not be stuck I’ve been stuck in old ways until I heard Fred Again and then this new skrillex I can’t do old skrillex i feel like I’m in a bad vibe old stuff it was trash just to sell crap to this generation I’ve watched Sonny evolve live from vids to the recent 4 hr set up with 4 tet fred again to the first in NY they were London they had to chill him teach him how to mix not effect or trash his way into the next track it has a liquid sound I think? Fred again is if you truly think about where DJ started and produced the best of this generation perhaps ever and that’s real if you can believe that
