I appreciate more options to use pistol ammo and an extra use for the semi body that isn't just the p2 and SAR since that's all that comp was used for

Thanks as always for the updates @Protox. We really need that SKS! It's been hiding in the background for way too long lol. I like it's position in the tech tree, T3 - 2nd item seems fair considering it's kinda like if an ak and a sar had a child. I agree with you the hqm cost is high but a fair payoff considering the other ingredients are actually quite cheap. Loving the new flashlight change. It now looks like the space between the flashlight and it's range is iluminated. The current way is more like a beam like a light sabre that glows. The new T1 smg is coming along nicely. I can't wait for those sounds to be everywhere on wipe day lol. Again Protox, Thanks for keeping us all up to date in the world of Rust :)

Yeh for the SKS HQM cost should be 8-10 and I’d remove the metal frag requirement and add wood.

I don't get the point of an SMG in tier 1... now the primitive phase is gonna be even shorter and progression faster, as if it wasn't already too easy to get guns.

maybe if the tier 1 smg populates some of the loot in the crates it could make decent guns harder to come by? idk

I'd say it's good for the solos and duos. Now you have an actual gun to fight back all the larger groups who get T2 and SAPs 1 hour into wipe. Right now if you fall behind these large groups your choices for T1 weapons are a revolver and the DB/waterpipe.

I think face punch should start including velocity, probability of jamming, much like the eoka, into effect. It would make gunplay a lot more crazier, diverse the guns a lot more, and give reason to craft different guns. I just don’t see the reason to use the SKS over the Sar, or M39 honestly. And the Tier 1 SMG won’t be used over the Tommy or MP5

the only change i don't like coming this update is the flashlight change, it just looks really underwhelming now, i like the really bright light.

Damage value and performance mostly, sks is a replacement for the sar like the mp5 is for the thompson.

Tier 3 didn’t have a semi auto rifle. Wouldn’t make sense to put it in Tier 2 as there is already the SAR.

I’m usually super critical of Rust updates especially the last couple years because of how they’ve been (at least in my opinion) nerfing solos like crazy but the last couple updates seem great on paper (I’m building my new pc so I didn’t play this wipe) especially the new revolver even though I really wish they had made it like the real like Nagant revolver that is very similar in it’s qualities and in real like it’s still the only easily available production revolver that can be easily and effectively suppressed which is what I really wish they would add to it since the revy can accept one but anyway the SKS and T1 smg look good too and I think most people are missing the point with them - to me it seems like FP is trying to make crafting a bit less dependent on higher tier components which for me is great because I only play solo and only on high pop monthly clan servers which is a nerf itself and one I like the challenge of but going to higher tier monuments to get a lot of SMG and Rifle bodies just to make any SMG or bolty etc is a gable and it’s better to just buy weapons from shops but that sort of also kills the whole point of the game imo and defeats the supposed point of the recycler nerf (it was supposedly to get people to go to monuments and reduce gear fear but instead just changed the meta to shops imo) so I see these as an alternative that is better for solos who will easily get a T1 and T2 and could justify grinding a T3 for the cheap cost and power of the SKS but can get cheap and seemingly effective weapons at even T1 now so in theory you’ll have more early solo roamers and achieve FP’s supposed goals while actually helping everyone instead of nerfing everyone especially solos but maybe I’m way off

@@RustyBear I don't think so, All of the firearms in rust could do with a bit of sound redesigning if you could say so. They need to be more louder. Also none of the guns that shoot supersonic have a proper crack.

My OCPD is screaming to make the 5.56 to be changed to Rifle round! SKS shoots 7.62x39 along with the AK. The M39 shoots 762x51. Am I the only one who cares lol

The ak is an 5.45x39 variant, not an 7.62x39

@@_Juke_ Honestly its super hard to tell. The mags curvature is not quite 762 but still not as "straight" as the 5.45. How did you come to the conclusion its 5.45? They actually do make 556 aks

oh great! more guns for the cheaters to kill me with. Fabulous. They need to fix the cheating epidemic, the game is pretty much unplayable right now. Its like the house being on fire and they are busy dusting the shelves hoping the fire will go away if they ignore it long enough.
