Faker is super aggro and violent. Doran's would have given him more sustain but he intends to break his opponent fast enough to keep refilling his potion and apply the burn as often as possible. Plus it gives him health back, and LeBlanc has a lot of base damage and waveclear so harassing ryze wasn't hard so Faker could keep applying the spell burn with mobility and the potion's regen. I still think Doran's would've been a safer option because he could've gotten caught off guard really easily but it's faker so you know, big flays, big plays.
