Vackert, alltid älskat säckpipa-vevlira, ännu mer med en bra moll låt ;)

Wonderful combo with vevlira and säckpipa! I've been enjoying the few songs on bandcamp, but is there an album coming? Really looking forward to it!

That is so interesting. I never knew there were Swedish pipes. They seem to have a lovely somber tone and a range far better than the Scottish bagpipes. I am sure you are familiar with the Irish ‘uileann pipes’ which does not have a mouthpiece but a bellows on the arm of the player. Thank you 🙏

And the hurdy gurdy has been used in Irish folk music too! ☘️

Most swedes don't know there are swedish bagpipes either. There are a few hundred swedish bagpipers in Sweden and also a few outside. And Max, the bagpiper in the video is one of the most popular builders of swedish bagpipes. They do come as either mouth blown or with bellows - or both, I suppose. The range is an octave plus one or two notes because of the single reeds. But lots of beautiful swedish (and other) music still fits just fine. If you play Uilleann pipes, I'm sure you would enjoy the swedish bagpipes aswell.

@@Hin_Håle I don’t play any pipes. But thank you so much for the background information. I love folk music. Also I passed on the link to those who are far more aficionados than I! 🙏
