Reason you test all combos out on the entire cast to make sure it can work just in case games have weight classes :) all that would mean Is that you would might have to delay part of it or do a part faster to make it work on certain characters

@@pormpfspimperton6804 my thoughts exactly just test it on the biggest guy and then test it on the smallest guy and if it hits then both then that's the whole cast labbed out easy and if it doesn't shut the smallest guy just keep going up from the next smallest until it hits and then you'll have your sights aimed properly

Y' know, the more I think about it, the more I realize that just messing around with buttons in training mode's a good way to figuring out combo structures. It helps get a better feel for the character as opposed to just jumping straight into the Combo Challenge Combos or mimicking combos from other players!

I practice the same way in every fighting game: I hit the bot with random moves until I see what moves link with eachother. Then add special/super cancels into the mix until I got a swanky new combo to play with! :>

I do the same thing on Mortal Kombat 9 ! I love this kind of fighting games that make you want to build combos by yourself. Never quite could get good results on Skullgirls though because the combos are so complex, I only do bnb and random shit.

This type of trial and error is lost on so many players nowadays. I'm a tekken player and we have an overabundance of combo videos, and people who rely on them. Nobody ever spends time finding combos by themselves anymore except a handful of people. I personally love doing it. In season 1 of tekken 7, I had this one combo with Kazumi I made with myself and a friend. Both of us went crazy when we found it because it was a max damage combo for that specific combo starter. Meanwhile the entire kazumi player base (including the pros) were doing less damage with that combo than my friend and I for the entirety of season 1. Only near the end of season one did we see anybody do a combo that was close to ours (but it was still less damage and not as flashy) I implore all fighting game players to spend some quality time just messing around in training like this guy at the start of his video. You'd be surprised what kind of new things you can find within a few minutes.

by popular opinion, xbox controllers are not good for fighting games - mainly due to the fact, that left analog and d-pad are switched, and d-pad by itself is considered clunky. ds4 also is better in terms of lower latency. that's why most pad players dont like xbox pad and it became kind of a joke in FGC
