Your very lucky to have THAT many collections of movies after all these years 😅. Most people these days won't even buy them, but to see you still collect them brings me back to nostalgic times. Thanks Skul! You've given me hope again 😊

13:10, "one and only time that the legend of thunder has ever been released on home video anywhere in the world" This isn't necessarily true. I live in Sweden and bought "Pokémon Chronicles Volume 1" (in a store in, sweden, not sure when but between 2006-2011). It also contains Pikacu's Winter Vacation (Delibird's Dilemma and Snorlax Snowman) and A Family That Battles Together (in which Brock's mom had turned the Pewter Gym to water-type focused). It got the english dub and seems like it was originally distributed 2005 in the UK by "The Contender Entertainment Group". There is information about it on Bulbapedia. Sidetrack: I believe "Lucario and the mystery of Mew" never was dubbed in swedish (the other movies was). The ninth season (Battle Frontier) was never aired here either, instead we got to stream it on "TV4 Play" for a limited time.

On a rather random note, the Serbian dub also has a DVD release. Also from a quick Google search it looks like there is also a French DVD release.

I myself am trying to get every Pokemon VHS. Speaking on the movies it always gets me that all the movies have a clamshell minus Destiny Deoxys

Awesome collection 🙂🙂 In regards to Pokemon Chronicles The Legend of Thunder, in the UK at least they did release a boxset of 3 dvds with the Legend of thunder and all the other episodes on them, might be worth checking up on for the collection

Great collection! I'm slowly collecting all of PKMN on home video as well though I'm based in the UK so it's going to involve a lot of importing of U.S. releases. Some things to note in case you're not aware or you just haven't picked them up yet. The original DVD releases of Indigo League and Orange Islands by Viz include the Jynx episodes not included in the re-releases which I tracked down myself recently (very pleased to own them). If you're interested in importing UK DVD's then we got one of the only English home video release of PKMN Chronicles which also includes The Legend of Thunder and a few of the Pikachu's Winter Vacation shorts. Which also leads me onto that I know you guys got a DVD release of Pikachu's Winter Vacation, can't remember off the top of my head if it includes all of them or just a few though. The UK also got a double-pack blu-ray release on one disc of 4Ever and Heroes, not sure how the quality compares to the Miramax 4 film blu-ray. From memory Heroes wasn't the biggest upgrade compared to the DVD but that was a long time ago I watched it so could be wrong, still yet to check out 4Ever on that blu-ray. The last few things are some Australian exclusive releases. I think it's pretty hard to get these days but they did a Gold Collection I think it's called of the first three movies on blu-ray which included the Pikachu shorts for those three movies on blu-ray. And Australia also got a DVD release of PKMN Origins. I also own two UK steelbooks for Detective Pikachu, one for 4K (+ Blu-Ray) and one for 3D Blu-Ray (+ Blu-Ray), I assume the U.S. got those as well. EDIT: I know Viz also released The Arceus Chronicles on DVD not to long ago which is apart of Journey's.

In Germany, they released a good chunk of Pokemon seasons and I do wanna get some. (Even if it is only English and german). I wanna start with Diamond and Pearl :)

Regarding the seasons released on Blu-ray, there are technically three more. Not released by Viz, but Studio Hamburg Enterprises in Germany did release seasons 17-19 on Blu-ray around 2018 and they do also feature the English audio track (although the title cards are of course in German). Unfortunately they seemingly didn't sell too well and are now very hard to find.

Watch out for those old Warner Bros DVDs! They are especially prone to disc rot. Amazing collection.

Very awesome! I myself am trying to get all of the Complete Season DVDs, only have a handful of them so far but hopefully I can get the rest eventually. And after that, I was thinking of getting the movies & Blu-Rays eventually since I have a portable Blu-Ray player I can watch them on.

I have a few of the VHS tapes myself, though I've left them in storage since I moved out of my family's home several years back. I still have them... but can’t actually watch them because my VHS player is so old, it won't even rewind tapes. They're all season 1 tapes and include the SS Anne episodes. One tape even has some trailers at the end of the episodes, for The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion and the trailer for the first Ranma 1/2 movie. I USED to have the VHS tapes for Pokemon 2000 (still have the promotional Pikachu card that came with it), Pokemon 3, Pokemon 4ever and Pokemon Heroes, but they got lost at some point when my family got into this annoying habit of getting rid of our VHS tapes once we got the DVD version, even though those 4 tapes specifically belonged to ME, so they had no right to just get rid of them when I got the DVD versions without consulting me first. As for the DVD side of things, I've every season up to Sinnoh League Victors, which is where I stopped, my copies of The Indigo League and Orange Islands being older copies, so include several episodes (including the Tentacool Tentacruel episode that isn’t allowed anymore) that you won't find on current releases, including, as mentioned in this video yourself, Holiday Hi-Jynx and Snow Way Out, though the latter for some reason is placed on the DVD AFTER the Poke-Ceral🤷♀️. I've almost every movie, though, up til Unova that is, where the Genesect movie is the last one I got and I didn't keep the Keldeo movie because I just didn't enjoy it. Also sadly don't have Mewtwo Returns, though not from a lack of trying. I *do* however have an original Japanese copy of Pokemon the First Movie I got when I was in Japan back in 2012, which includes the Amber Two opening completely and, yes, it does include an English option. I made extra sure of that before buying it. I am SO freaking jealous you have the Mastermind special on DVD. I have been looking for that for AGES! And my copies of Pokemon 4ever and Heroes are original releases from before the ratings system changed, which I think makes them pretty special. And I obviously have the DVDs of the 3 more recent Pokemon movies (I Choose You, Power of Us and Secrets of the Jungle). I outright REFUSE to get Mewtwo Evolution on DVD, however. That movie just rubs me the wrong way and I refuse to even have it in my house, let alone my DVD collection. I do obviously also have Detective Pikachu on DVD, though my copy didn't come with a Pokemon card. That was either just an American release thing or something only available if you buy the Blue Ray or 4K version.

Pokemon xyz is on dvd tho just not complete series yet
@shawn4137Ай бұрын
The only way to get Holiday Hi-jynx now is the original indigo League dvd box sets well part 3 technically but yeah sadly the "complete season " is inferior to those due to that and likewise with the orange island set that had 2 episodes cut from the newer set. Wish Beauty and the Beach could see some love but sadly it's lost to internet only cuz it aired once and never again in america.

Where did you buy the Japanese Blu rays and dvds? I want to buy the Japanese dvds cause I have the English ones but I cant found anywhere
@SkulShurtugalTCGАй бұрын
Most of them I bought in sites like Yahoo Auctions and used a middleman service like Buyee or Sendico to forward them to me here in the United States.
