I'm always glad to see other people who agree that Gurranq is much harder than Maliketh. His moveset is just so... _weird._ His attacks are erratic and twitchy, it's incompatible with my brain. Maliketh is technically more 'dangerous,' but his moves and telegraphs actually make sense, which makes him way easier.

I don't think it would be. Seal attacks are slow and clunky, but they deal at least some damage. Fists barely manage to go into double digits even in a perfect set-up because you can't upgrade them.

In one of the streams I asked why he wasn't using greases in the seals and everyone said: "Because you can't" Thing is, back in 1.02 I remember applying grease to a seal accidentally when trying to apply grease to a weapon. That was probably a glitch and I'm surprised I was the only one to ever see it.
