What he says about Native Americans keeping dogs for food and sharing the meal with guests is true. My grandfather had one such experience and a young man growing up in Iowa during the Great Depression. Both he and his brother hunted near and traded with the local Indian reservation, and one time they were invited by the chief and his wife for dinner-which ended up being dog-meat stew.

That is nutty that they come to a wounded rabbit call like that

I feel just fine not knowing what coyote tastes like. Totally fine. Am I mad? No. I'm glad someone is trying it. But I never wondered.

Me and you both ... government kills lots of them out of planes and helicopters.. pretty sure noone is gathering them up to eat

Which is sad, give them to the homeless or something like they do with animals that get hit by cars and are still alive

Great episode! My wife and I put Javelina my son and I have hunted in practically everything we eat. We coyote hunt often also, I figure I’ll have to give coyote meat a try some day….rattlesnake is on the list to try too.

Is no one else going to address how beautiful these two men are??
@TwoshortAnswers3 жыл бұрын
Well, given the fact that there are mostly straight dudes watching this, I would say no. Motorcycle accident stopped me from hunting this year, so you can say I am hunting vicariously through Steve. Wait you must be a chic right?
@hannahrodrigues93443 жыл бұрын
@@TwoshortAnswers that's affirmative. same here as I'm homeschooling / raising my two kids and couldn't make it out to the woods last year, these videos keep me motivated
@TwoshortAnswers3 жыл бұрын
@@hannahrodrigues9344 you must be a cool Sheila if you hunt, and only a chic could have said something like that, or you know.

What a great video, I’ve not seen any hunting videos that take place in my home country until now and this was wonderful!

Why do the hair burn off thing? Why not just skin it?

Because this way you can have nice crispy skin.

Come to Tucson. Packs of coyotes and Javalinas just roaming the streets lol
@jrvbaseball14 жыл бұрын
I know, went to U of A and in the foothills the javelina would just be roaming in herds. After seeing this makes me wish i could have gotten a few.

Big fan of your show I voted for you in the gundies so good luck with that. I believe I noticed a threaded barrel on the rifle that you used to harvest the coyote. Have you ever used a suppressor/silencer? If so do you have a video

Love you show. Can't get enough. Inspire myself and others to get off their butts and go outside. Had to be hard to eat coyote. Can't say I would want to but wouldn't say no. Now I need to start hunting myself. Thank you for giving me that extra push to go start hunting. Cheers 🍻
