Something very similar happened to me once. The entire rando I couldn’t find claw for the life of me, and I got everything I needed to beat the game without it. I even went as far as to get every single check I could without claw, and it didn’t turn up. So I resigned myself to beating the game without it and entered the black egg temple, where I realized I hadn’t checked World Sense. It was shopkeeper’s key. I figured I’d see what was in the shop, so I went back to Dirtmouth. And guess what Sly was selling. Take a wild frickin guess.

There's another skip into dark Deepnest from the Queen's Gardens toll bench: push a spiny husk down to the lower platform, then knock it into the thorns on the left. When it dies the corpse will bounce upwards and you can quickly pogo it to get enough height and get up onto the higher platform. The pogo + damage boost was excellent improvisation - Skurry has a great eye for skips!

This seed was absolutely cursed haha Combat Rando is a bit more customizable by now though, that seems like an outdated version, but the main challenge on extreme mode is mostly the early game and the fact that you never get late-game geared (nail damage is capped at 13 by default on Extreme)

Skurry, I am a person that talks Spanish so...pls no hate to my writing ← i think i wrote that wrong. So, recently for seeing your videos i decided to do my own randomizer... That was a awful decision so, how do i tell ya'll? My first ability was Isma's tear, I found the seer (after 3 hours) because it was after a reversed white palace room and for you to know she had MONARCH WINGS. It cost 685 essence (i didnt have enough) so i warp and i forgot where the Seer was, i get until 1,280 essence until i tried again to do the reversed White palace room and we got it 🎉🎉🎉🎉 (before, in the part where i was searching for essence i got Dash, Salubra has Swim and i got it ) so after 6 hours it was pretty lame. No spell , poor movement, poor nail damage (i forgot to tell that it is a room randomizer also) . The most important thing that happend after was that, because i have double jump, now i can enter hornet 1 and for some reason that vessel that gives you Dash it was the corpse of Herra, so poor Hornet, she was defending the dead corpse of her mother. (Ok, do you know that room in Crossroads that with a vengefly skip you can get a grub, so that geo rock down the vengefly was Lurien, XD.) After HOURS of searching, i found finally a spell, Howlling Wraiths, after that...Ou MEN how do i tell you... This is an expression in Spanish: "Todo fue viento en popa" that means that everything was going good after that. Like an hour after finally i go to Sheo, he sees me, i see him, we kis...*cough*...Sheo had for a total of 10 hours and 38 minutes The MANTIS CLAW. After that Gourgeos Husk is Monomon. Irronically Sheo's home was the black egg temple so i enter and i got out because i didnt have any damege in my nail and only have one spell I acquaired ← i wrote that wrong: -Abbys Shriek - Desolate dive -Vengefull Spirit -And Nail.......... I had like 5 PALE ORES FOR 21 HOURS AND DIDNT FIND A SINGLE TIME THE NAILSMITH. So i go fight the Hollow knight and i beat him, finishin the game with 19 hours and 6 minutes and 22 seconds. PD: that root of essence in ancestral mound had Lumafly lantern i found it before mantis claw or Vengeful spirit EVEN BEFORE HOWLING WRAITHS and i hate that Boulder so MUCH for not letting me hqve a usefull item until i have mantis claw. *** THERE WAS NO DUPES**
