This building is going to be the instant landmark of Chongqing upon completion. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product. I've only heard one criticism of it, that it looks like jail bars, but I disagree personally. Quick note: Chongqing has 30 million people, but that's because the government heaved off a piece of Sichuan province and made it part of the new CQ province. It's a lot of semantics, but for all intents and purposes CQ is a province of 30M. The city proper is about 8 million people. Huge by American standards, but far from overwhelming by Chinese standards.

A lot of other cities or countries copying the design of the iconic Marina Bay Sands hotel..such as Abu dhabi,Kuala Lumpur,Malacca city Malaysia,and recently Dubai and Chongqing,China...the MBS building are very iconic and some of the challenging engineering to build in this earth...no other cities can even follow the exact design of the MBS..especially the hanging jaw dropping magnificient cantilivered sky deck..the least city that can copy is Dubai

Just as in any other country you get what you pay for? Still we haven't heard a lof of buildings falling down or train crashes due to bad quality? Also, remember for example that 90% of all world's electronics are made in China and depending on how much you want to pay for a TV, then the quality will reflect the money you show? Still iPhones are considered to have high quality and these are made in China (iPhones are just designed in California). At last, what did we think about cars and electronics from Japan in the 70s, cars from South Korea in the 90s etc. What do we think today? China will of course do exactly the same trip as Europe, USA, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea etc, but much faster as the tendency looks now!

That glass-walled sky bridge up at 820 ft will offer an amazing panoramic view of... smog and pollution. Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chonggching - all too densely populated and powered largely by coal-fired power plants. Add the dust and particulates from domestic sources and encroaching desertification, and most days you’re looking at a gray or orange-hued sky that obscures the sun. I lived in Tianjin for two years and the air quality was horrible. But these new skyscrapers look cool...

we have the same thing in new york going back 60 years...not as high as this design. nor as long....but at about 50 feet above the street...there is an enclosed 100 foot long indoor bridge...connecting the jail cells with the state and federal courthoises in the other building... we been there...done that😉😉😘😉
