2021 was a farce, and if you are already a Max fan, there is nothing Crofy can say to turn you away. Max makes more and more fans when 2021 is questioned. Max does his talking on the track and trust me he isn't losing any sleep.

The bit I saw had a very short, but good question after the 'fan' said 'he didn't like Max': 'Did you ever meet him?' To wich the fan had to answer 'No'. I thought that was pretty good. How can you be a judge of anyone's character if you don't even actually know the guy? Sure, we see them in a game .. and this is exacly what we need to remember: All people involved are playing a game in one way or another. In that respect, you only know how they are playing the game, but nothing about how they are on day-to-day basis.

I understand that 2021 was a big disappointed for the British audience. But even if all British people that have an interest in f1 watch a race on sky amount to , what , 10 million ? Maybe even 20 i dont know (population 55 m or so ) Fi worldwide 700 million (?) Left 650 million viewers extatic by the result of 2021........ Same as 2005 when fernando stopped a dominance.

I am glad people are beginning to wake up to problem with sky f1, it really operated like a club of mates who share similar interests and that's all they praise, and like a well tuned choir bash those they dislike. This is why I switched to f1tv broadcast, I might even consider channel 44 cos clearly they have more appreciation for f1 in general as opposed to narrative peddlers. The moment one can tell their favorite in their programing then you know they lack balance. As for Damon, well he was part of the same club and he was at that age where it just becomes a grumpy old man who dislikes a certain driver to ever appreciate the good. They need new people like you said including yourself. True f1 fans who appreciate brilliance wherever it is coming from.

👍 I don't blame Lewis the person or the driver but ever since, say ,2014 sky has basically ignored proper journalism and failed to report the races of the other 19 drivers. British or not . Ted's notebook does explain what their races were like and Ted has since regained his journalistic qualities for now I think . This year with Lewis in red might be the worse yet......

IMO most of the backlash of Max comes from what happened in 2021 which did seem to be set up. If it were not for that mistake or whatever by the powers that be, I believe almost everyone would absolutely love watching Max doing what he has done in the last 3 seasons. At the end of the day he is a brilliant driver and all he did was take the opportunity given to him at that time as would any racer
