My Dad buyed the Sky Stream Box at the Highcross Shopping centre today, and it gets delivered tomorrow! Rather than paying the normal £26 a month, he got an offer of £23! Also, for the set up fee, he got an offer on that too, half price at least! All that was being done while I was playing with the Sky Glass, and I saw this specific advert when I picked up the green remote!

Crashing needs to be sorted I'd buy another one but apparently sky's not offering second TVs on contract I'd rather pay an extra £3 a month for a new TV rather than keeping the sky puck stream as the puck is worse for crashing so I rarely use mine but that is only because I've only got a 32 original smart TV from 2012 which I bought second hand in my first flat on my own

SKY Glass is a con. I bought Sky Glass, not on a credit agreement, I stupidly bought it and paid in full in March. The TV was at first faulty and got replaced in July. Between then and now I've had a growing frustration with it. Ultimately this product is inferior to Q. You can't record. You get less channels. So I decided I wanted out. The problem is this. When I did the research I discussed the TV with a Sky Rep at a stand, and gave him the hypothetical situation that if I wanted to change product in the future I could sell the TV (the benefit of buying it outright) and someone else could use it. They said yes, this was possible. Well. That is a lie. You can't. When you sell the TV no one else can use it and attach a Sky Glass subscription to it. Basically it is useless. You ae essentially painting yourself into a corner as you now have a TV no one wants to buy as it can't be used as the thing it is advertised for. Needless to say I am now seeking legal advice on this. As SKY clearly must have the ability to attach anew subscription to a TV. They are basically just limiting the free trade of the TVs on the open market (people wanting to sell as they want a new product) but buyers not being able to use the TV. I'm now raising this with a number of consumer bodies. SKY must have the ability to change TVs to new owners as they did when they sent me my new one - and let’s face it they will have sold on the faulty TV after they had fixed it. People need to be aware of this limitation with Glass. An inferior product to Q. And ultimately an inability to be able to sell on for the purpose it was intended. I tried to resolve the mis selling with SKY and they have washed their hands of it.

I would agree with previous posts is dangerously misleading not smarter than a smart tv infact i'd go so far as to say without any of the features of any other smart tv one could not even call it a smart tv let alone smarter. Really sky section 2 of the fraud act 2006 fraud by false representation not to mention how you don't tell people that you lose a load of channels and that a sky q entertainment subscription is not the same or have the same channels as a glass entertainment subscription no religious channels at all such as god tv revelation tv or TBN (the bible network) You then get locked into a finance contract before you would even realise that it is all bull and exit the contract as such they have had complaints from me to the advertising standards agency, financial ombudsman and the financial conduct authority and cisas I would advise you all to also follow suit with complaints so they never again make wildly unsubstanciatable claims again and if anything that some solicitors firm bring a class action lawsuit against them which near enough would bankrupt sky!!

I love that "Works over wifi" is a point of advertising, like everything hasn't been wifi based for the last decade. "Smarter than a smart tv" It sounds like it's equivalent, if not worse than a smart TV.

I have a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) of 1 tb which is much smarter than this TV (Manhattan box) Yes, all my favourite shows are in 1 place, and I don't need a Sky subscription to keep them there, indefinitely. Neither does it need WiFi, all I need is a power socket, Aerial signal (can be portable indoor) , any old screen with a HDMI port and it's good to go

I love Sky Glass, it's such a good TV, could you sort out some software/content issues please - please please add +1 channels. We've missed out on several programmes that refused to restart from the beginning. +1 will solve a lot of the live programme issues we've encountered. Thanks in advance.

@@stevengodwin4249 it’s an interesting system, you still add programme clashes to your playlist, but Glass is superior in some respects, if you forget to record a programme, and you switch to it from elsewhere, rather than the option to watch/record part way through, you can watch all content from the beginning, since +1 isn’t available for all channels, and +1 isn’t always readily located.
