I understand, I had the same problem with my Sky Q system, the main satellite box is in my bedroom, the other 2 mini boxes are in the downstairs bedroom and my the living room. I have no problem my main Sky Q system, but the 2 mini boxes keep losing the TV signal, I try calling Sky TV for better part of a week with no luck, so yesterday I got a network cable and plug the mini box in the bedroom into my router, so far it working fine, I'm very disappointed in Sky after being a loyal customer for over 20 years. The Sky Q pixels is absolutely brutal when I joined up for it, but I left them and now I have a firestick with all their channels in HD and lots more than what sky deliveres, cinema movies boxsets all for €70 a year. Internet hassle free no more annoying cables! ☺👍

I had my SKY Q upgrade 2 weeks ago. Exact same problem. Engineer coming out next week for 6th time. If its not fixed properly this time I will be telling SKY I am leaving.

I'm a bit skeptical about the Sky Q box. I think Sky have been overselling them to customers when the technology is still not the finished article. Many people have been throwing out their old Sky Boxes thinking that the Sky Q box is better, it's not their fault, Sky has just not been advising people properly. All they care about is just pushing the boxes. I was going to get Sky Q box myself but then I found out the dish I have, which is a communal one is not compatible with Sky Q, which is ridiculous. There are adaptors they can try out, as I have been told but there's' no guarantee they will work. Again, this is a joke, especially considering that the Q box is supposed to be internet-based and not require a dish anyway but they still do.

Yes they are like many large companies these days they do not want to talk to clients, its look on line at almost every stage, but I did get through to a woman who I had some diff understanding, who has arranged a revisit tomorrow the 24.11.20. Not that I am confident it will be fixed, ie picture freezes randomly for 10 or 20 seconds, and this is with a booster they gave us yesterday at end of install of new Q & 3 miniQ,s Im piised of to put it mildly as the old sky box had no signal issues, he put the new dish & LNB,s higher got good signal, but its freezing, never did this on old box. The number I contacted Sky on is 03442414141, hope that helps someone else in same annoying position.

I have done all they suggest, restart, made sure firmware was latest etc, all they suggest, still crapola.

Hi it might be the power cables, optical or rca's of other devices being to close to your sky q box power cable. That what happens with my little multiroom box. I just moved them. I have used another power cable for my sky box. Hope that helps you. Cable interfaces happens. Sweet TV, hope you can get the box working again

Just got this on my Sky Q box in bedroom, Sky Q 1TB working fine in living room! Phones sky they asked me to check cables, reboot box. Everything came back to life

It works fine in the living room because that’s the main box that has a card inside. The one in the bedroom is running off WiFi and this is what’s annoyed me, if I’d have known this was the case I’d have kept Sky +

Jay Thanki is it possible I can swap my box in the bedroom for the one in the living room? The one In the living room is slightly bigger and has a card but it should work upstairs shouldn’t it?

I had the mini box installed last night and I’m having the same problem. I’ve spent half the night watching a blue screen and frozen images. I’ve swapped a perfectly good sky+ box with a card to a piece of plastic that feeds off WiFi. I feel like I’ve sold a car for a skateboard

Same here yesterday 22.11.20 engineers was here from 8am to 11.30 installing new Q box and 3 mini Qs, we now have freezing picture on all 3 TV,s random time anywhere up to 20 seconds and it unfreezes, they are coming back Tuesday am

@@gitfiddlejimagain we had the engineer here a couple of weeks ago and he gave us new boxes and so far so good

@@dazza944 They returned tuesday am, found the booster which was new on Sunday was faulty, replaced that, and tweeked here and there and all is well now all 3 tv,s are workin fine now.

Revisited us, it was a faulty new signal booster box, so swapped, all is well now.

I have a similar problem. The engineer been here 3 times and i have to call him again. Trying everything, another booster, moving other tech and resetting frequency. Let me know how you get on. Mine works fine when he's gone. Then 2 or more hours later it continues to freeze and crash like a zx81.

BIRDS sit on the arm of a satelite dish blocking the signal to the LNB; try scaring them away and the signal comes back! Catapult rice grains at them! Had the same problem till found this out!

Could be a issue with the box or a faulty transiver in the satellite

I getting no channels blue screen and in black no satellite signal could be the LNB dish or my sky q box, mines also says technical fault when go to help and my account

I had this issue and I was told other things use up the wifi and weaken the signal to the sky Q Wether that’s true or not I don’t know And if it is, it’s a bollocks set up

This sounds familiar! Getting the same prob with 1 2TB Q box & 3 mini's. 8 Engineers have been to fix the problem and guess what? The problem still occurs. Beggers belief how Sky can get away with selling a system that's so unstable

your using a communal dish ? fibreoptic input ?

on the Q menu, scroll down to settings,just highlight it..then press 001 enter/select and see what it says as in LMB type, if your using a fiberoptic single cable, the menu should say SCR should be ticked not wideband..let me no what it is
