You are doing the right thing. You are singing to the flute. Rossinis Rosina is acturally available in two versions - the one You are comfortable with is the lower pitched. Now the real work starts: The flute has a tessitura of 3 octaves - the middle is actually in two versions - depending on weather the instrument is overblown or not. The trick (for You is to find out if the dramatic effect is in the natural mode or in the overblown mode).
