Loved your video, question, did the Federal Officer give you a ticket? The same happened to me, I didn't even know I was on National Park property, always flown at that park before but had no luck with the Skydio.

I fly drones and have watched a lot of skydio 2 videos. Yours is one of the most impressive. I guess some folks know how to use it well and others don’t. It’s cyber Monday and I am wondering if I should pull the plug and buy it. Decisions decisions.

Thanx man, Skydio wuz like "damn we'd love to use this footage but it was in a national park" 😬 As for the purchase, the units are still on sale 😃 but yeah, drones are risky and take a lot of patience, you still don't see many of them flying and when you do it's unusual

It’s pure control. Drone rules should be park specific and with reason. By the way, thanks to your video, I went ahead and got one. Should be on its way any day! Dusting my bike up! @@pasky7777 I just bought a drone, so I'm generally a proponent of them, but I do appreciate that they are not allowed in National Parks, only because of how annoying the noise of them can be to the people who are there to enjoy the natural beauty. Our single drone might not seem like a big deal, but if it were legal and there were a half-dozen of them flying all over the place.... no thanks.

FAA has several regs re line of site , registration and number display, and monetization, recording people with out auth, ,, be ware, be aware nice photography though , drone rules are wide open in AZ

Also I know you have amazing bike control but MAN, NICE BIKE CONTROL on that sand towards the end lmao. That was a wicked slip on the sand and you saved it! That thing's following is amazing I have to say. Even through those trees it still had you for the most part! I would be wary in the city, not cause of the law, but because all those metal superstructures and cement walls are great blockers of 2.4ghz signal from the controller and drone. Can't wait to see that video! Good luck man!

@@lucasbrunelle Skydio 2 is a fantastic drone. But completely useless with people around as their mentally is the most difficult to avoid obstacle. It's too big, too bright, too noisy. Now the Chinese could easily build a really nice small light almost stealth and safe, crash resistant (prop guards) follow-me drone. No sensors needed or anything. Just GPS follow programmed the right way. And for less than $200! All they have to do is listen to me. It would sell like crazy. Unfortunately they won't. So for the time being we can't fly on bike trails or in the middle of town. People start crying and call the police.

There a quite a few reasons. Drones are disruptive towards wildlife like birds and such. People can do whatever, but national parks are home to a lot of endangered or protected wildlife. Batteries on a lot of cheaper drones have been known to cause fires in crashes as well, especially FPV drone batteries. I’m not saying I agree with a ban, but I understand.

I work in restaurants boy I get it yeah u paid for a meal and want it yum but sometimes people think theyre royalty or something can't take the drama man. Riding = freedom Usually adventurous and ballsy people ride u won't find to many Karen's riding. Keep good man. Do u still ride in Jan thru April? I'm in Clearwater and can't even handle Florida winters riding when I'm not sweaty and it's cold cuz winds and air hitting u from the riding anything below 65 is too cold. Miami usually stays pretty warm like high 70 to 80 even in the cold months. How do u cope when it cold u just say screw it I'm going... or like wear those sleeve warmers but still. Thank God it doesn't get cold till January for FL.

Nice much easier then using the controller while riding. Still love my DJI mini 2 because of how small it is. Come on DJI added this to the next software update even without side sensors it could still do it on flats with no trees. Drone RULES sucks. BTW it is allowed in the cities (Not NYC) just check Air Maps (Phone APP) to make sure your not near a airport. Also You will need a part 107 license to fly because you make money off KZbin. All Parks are a no no with the law.

If you use that footage for commercial purposes, like rev from KZbin and u were in a no fly zone….. uh oh. I believe the FAA req is u have to get LAANC approval for commercial drone work. And I think rev from KZbin vids makes it commercial. Not advice and not an expert. Just sharing. On the flip side, wow. Beautiful. I own a Skydio as well. Fab AI. But I could ride all day in that park. Bucket list. Love your vids. Keep up the good work. Oh and that Fed was v cool.
