Yeh me too. I don't suppose you know who was the FIRST company to make this kinda videos? Like this is GQ, but Vanity and other magazines do it which I find odd that magazines all started doing this. I guess they copy off each other a LOT in print to? Because whoever it was got COPIED a lot and it would be cool to give props to the guys that invented this format. I'm thinking it was one of these mags that started it. Like GQ, Vanity Fair, I think Wired? and some other magazines.

The thing this guy gets wrong is that they actually did drop cars out of a plane…to film that scene. The only things CGI’d was the actors and the really close up shots and interior. There’s actual footage and proof of them doing that. I’m sure this guy is intelligent, but doesn’t know anything about dropping a free falling car out of a plane. Not saying I do either.

What people may not know about Jeb is that he accompanied Dwain Weston on his fatal jump into the Royal Gorge bridge in 2003. I was actually at the inaugural "Go Fast Games" that day, and although not on the bridge at the time, was on the far side when it happened. Dwain was attempting a pass over the bridge in a fairly early iteration of the wing suit, and struck the guard rail at well over 100 mph. It was a devastating accident, and clearly had a deep impact on Jeb afterward. The incident was caught on camera by a spectator on the bridge, however I can't warn people enough, it is perilously jarring and graphic footage, not for anyone easily disturbed or shocked.

As a skydiver and BASE jumper, what Corliss is saying is 100 percent accurate. While oversimplified, he explains it such a way that it is easy to understand and digestible. Wing suit piloting, in particular, is a unique skill set especially in a BASE environment. Skydiving can be dangerous, but BASE is fatal. Do not go into in without accepting that you or your friends may die. 200 skydives minimum and excellent canopy skills are required.

@@aliasincognito0 hey bud General rule of thumb is between 15,000 feet (4,600 m) and 35,000 feet (11,000 m). It qualifies for Halo anywhere above 15, 000feet. As oxygen is required for personnel as air is too thin and cold to breath higher up.

Had a skydiving history teacher once. Not a good diver appearently, cause he did - that I know of - 2 special landings. One on a 7th or 8th floor balcony. Scaring the lady who lived there shitless. And another going feet first through the roof of a farm house. It did slow him down and there were no trees involved ;)

The funniest part of the point break scene is that they wouldn't allow Patrick swayze to actually do the jump even though he had been skydiving before so what he did was he grabbed everyone that was involved in the jump and grabbed his own crew and filmed that scene himself without the consent of the director.

Also, when he says that you can't talk in freefall, Patrick Swayze even said as much in an interview that you can't talk and have conversations in freefall and that the whole scene with Bodhi and Johnny Utah yelling at each other was some poetic license that they took and that it was for cinematic purposes.

I have watched Point Break 2015 several times, and never thought that the scene was real. This is amazing! Next time I bump into this movie, it will hit different. Kudos to the film maker to go this length to make the stunts authentic. Too bad that the movie was not as successful as the former one. Anyways, somehow, I love listening to this guy explaining things, especially when a scene is unrealistic. His laugh made me laugh too. 😀😁

yeah for parts of it it needed to be tom cruise you see, but for the stunt there was no reason to really show it was henry cavill, meaning a stuntman did it, and the fact that the science backs up that it'd fog up his mask was a coincidence
