You left a few things in the boot of the sedan, Skye. I think there were some books in there, too. You'll wanna go back and retrieve those. I'd also suggest that now that the shamblers are starting to tear down your walls, setting up more watchtowers around the perimeter would be a good idea, starting at the new breach and the currently unguarded entrance. Might also want to have a couple extra vehicles brought in and parked inside the base so that once the fuel production is in full swing, you have ready access to vehicular travel for the other squads as well. You could also have one vehicle/squad specifically set up to go out and pick up survivors, especially if you manage to find a vehicle capable of having a large number of people inside - if that's even a thing in the game. And while I've no idea how effective it'd be in the end, but maybe doubling up the watchtowers in certain key points on the perimeter (like the entrances) could prove useful. What I mean by this is setting up a new watchtower as close to the existing ones as possible, but leaving these new ones set on arrows, so that if one of the towers runs out of ammo or the weapons "break" (I assume that's why the one tower suddenly had no guns despite you never taking them away) there's still someone providing covering fire so that they can resupply and not leave an unwelcome gap in the defenses.

I think the biggest mistake he's doing is focusing so much on his one scavenging team with a car. He's speeding up through the whole day completely ignoring his other squads who sit idly by in the base the whole day. He could have looted the whole closer surroundings by doing a few houses each day with them. Also speeding up and having the car squad sitting idle a lot. Then there was setting up farms and researching farm yield shortly before winter while there are still tons of food places lootable. I don't mean to be condescending but a few pauses or slow speed moments to better utilize his resources would have saved him a lot of work force down the line. Oh and I get that it's way harder to do while also trying to entertain his audience so I really don't want to be nagging that much. He still manages well obviously.

You can split your squad by pressing the second button at the bottom in the squad menu. You can use this to easily get another car back to base if you find another one on your travels.

I suggest getting a squad in the sedan you abandoned (which has a bunch of stuff you left behind in it) so that you have a QRF of sorts if something happens to go wrong with the pickup truck or if you need extra space for loot. Ideally they would upgrade to a pickup or better car eventually.

I would definitely watch more of these vids, I just hope it doesn't become vaporware like that Abyss game. But the concept of a zombie game where you can play in any city in the world really seems like a great idea. Kinda wonder how it handles differences between European cities vs American. Also, how accurate are the towns, like if I started in my home town, would I recognize it? I'd probably want to try a run on Ile de France, but I'd really wonder if the game will feature the landmarks. I imagine they could probably have modders fill in the individual cities, which would be cool.

Love this play through you’re doing, I’ve hammered the prologue in the last week. Does 1 farmer work as well as 4, because you need so much grain...fuel, chickens, food, etc. That "L" shaped building looks like a perfect factory, and the matching one opposire for the meat cookhouse...and the 2 giant ends [where you put the cookhouse] as warehouses, or barns. The 2 between hq and cookin could be med bay 😅

not sure if anyone else has posted a comment like this yet to you skye but from what i can tell during the game you need to make use of all your squads for gathering during the day, get them a car each and get enough fuel producing structures as fast as you can to keep the sedan's, suv's and pickup trucks going also the fact that you started on such a well isolated island in italy is such a good start your only problem is going to be lack of nearby resources i wish you could grow your own tree farms for wood at least, i hope this game has a good development team who wont just abandon it after they made a cash grab :'( there's been to many games in recent years that had such promising potential but were just cash grabs

Hey Skye! Maybe you're a smart beaver, but you're not a very proficient apocalypse survivor, mate. Because for a guy who's been nagging our ears off about the serious lack of books on the map, you're very sloppy with them, as there are three of them -- AND some other goods -- still in that sedan you abandoned ON PURPOSE. Why the heck would you leave a perfectly good vehicle behind, anyway? With that sedan, and the at least two other ones I've noticed, you could currently have FOUR squads on wheels, all being active roaming the streets 24/7. Instead, you have only one, because the others teams need to stay indoors at night, because being outside is too dangerous.
