@jckrbbt4 that does work well for some folks, but considering i am getting the organ removed in a few months, it doesn't seem beneficial to have any extra surgeries, nor would my insurance cover that and it would be an added cost. i had really negative effects from added progesterone to my system anyway.

Hey, I just wanted to comment on the physical-emotional pain part. I myself am diagnosed with Borderline personality disorder, and I can fully appreciate what you are saying. It is so hard to explain to others what it feels like not being in control of your emotions and just losing it whenever, wherever....almost randomly. It's really hard to endure and start working against it, but it's all manageable in time :) Thanks for the honesty and the update

i've been concerned about you! i'm glad you're feeling better. i hope-hope-hope insurance will cover your hysto! this series of videos has really helped me plan my medical transition, so thank you! just got word from insurance that my top-surgery will be covered, which is great & the reason i've waited to start T. but now with all your hysto stuff, i'm thinking of waiting a little longer & just get my approval before insurance has a chance to deny me. good luck with everything!

It's been really hard going through school. I was to anxious to go on most field trips and getting to and from school on the bus was a nightmare. It's currently my senior year and I had to leave on the second day of school because I had a huge panic attack before I could even get to my first class. I had been trying to deal with my anxiety with out the use of drugs but it got to the point where that wasn't an option anymore....tbc

Anyone who thinks that their pathetic for even thinking that they need prescribed medication to help them please don't While medication isn't always the answer if nothing else seems to be working talk to your therapist about what you can take to help you. No one should ever have to feel that bad. Also Skylar I'm so sorry that you had to go through that these past few weeks. Panic attacks suck the big one and that's putting it lightly. I hope that you feel better dear! :)

I cried all the time when I was on a OCP with too much progestogen in, I think it is pretty common. And the word you were looking for is "endometrium" which is the name of the lining of the womb, but "endometrial tissue" is fine too :-) hope your surgery goes well, I enjoy watching your videos! my doctor is inserting an IUD called Mirena in a few weeks to treat endometriosis - it's used in the same way as oral birth control, without all the crazy hormonal effects because it doesn't use estrogen and the progesterone is delivered right to the uterus without having to flow all over your body first...

I had the surgery and it was covered. I had poly-cystic ovaries and I had abnormal bleeding. I bled for 3 months straight and had so much pain so they had the surgery approved before doing the surgery. They want to make sure they will get paid. So I had the laparoscopic surgery as out patient. I was fine enough to go home. They gave me percocet which I didn't use till about 2 days later. I had just a little ab pain from them doing their thing. You will be fine.

always read the side-effects for any medicine you take. That's why they put inserts in the box.

@skylarkeleven I have high hopes that it will work for me/avoid invasive surgery for now (not the best time for me), but we'll see... my experience with oral birth control sounds similar (among other things, depression that led to a LOA from school for an entire semester). I have yet to find out if insurance will cover the cost.

Your dr should've told you about the potential side-effects of that birth control medicine when he put you on it.

@Melissaaadear what state do you live in? In Iowa I know for sure that we have specific laws that protect bullying in general, along with lgbt protection. If they fail to take action to protect your sibling your family (if your state has laws against bullying) has full right to sue the school. Which believe me the school will pay attention at that point. Also if you ever need any strong LGBT backing OneIowa is a good organization with loads of resources. Our youth need to be protected regardless

I actually have super bad anxiety. I've had anxiety since I was really little it was probably around five years old that it started. There has been a history of anxiety in my family but all of them had it occur later on in their life. Basically I was born with an imbalance of serotonin that makes my instincts react almost like i'm in a life or death situation to the stupidest little things. I had constant panic attacks that made me physically sick....tbc

What are some of the problems you are having from your female organs? I have started having a bit of pain in my lower stomach sorta like period pain but my endocrinologist thinks it is not related to T at all. What do you think? Perhaps your T dose has been too low?
