Birds swoop during nesting season to protect their young from perceived threats. This behavior is instinctual, not malicious. Familiarity with humans can sometimes prevent swooping, as birds may recognize and not feel threatened by known individuals. It’s a natural protective response, not an act of aggression for enjoyment.
