I have been viewing your playlist on product photography. I am learning a lot from your approach to teaching. I'm almost ready to try it myself. Thank you for helping me with these videos.

is there a difference between placing a light source back into the background, and placing it behind the background towards the subject? when we use plastic of course. Thanks.

Your videos are amazing. I'm curious to know why don't you shape the light with continuous lights. You must have reasons to use flashes and it would be great if you could make a video to compare the pros and cons of using continuous lights with flashes. Thanks.
@skylerewingphotography2 жыл бұрын
The reason I don’t use continuous light is because I have two 300 watts videos lights on in room illuminating the room so I can film. That is a lot of light and no continuous light would be powerful enough to overpower that for photos. If I wasn’t filming for you tube I could turn off the lights and use continuous. Hope this makes sense

@@skylerewingphotography I had that question as well, and im using continuous light my self, i thought i was doing something wrong here and justified your way as a more energy saving method , but this explaination makes a lot of sense haha, thanks for the great videos :)))

😂 she might have a big home. Could also adopt her studio methods and make it work I guess.

Love your videos! Im very intrigued by product photography. What camera are you using? Not that that matters. Just curious. I just picked up a 5D Mark iii and am starting to explore this niche
@skylerewingphotography2 жыл бұрын
I am using Sony A7iv but like you said it doesn’t really matter. Any camera would work . I find the most important in photography is lighting, then lens, then camera

@@skylerewingphotography oooh i like that. Will keep that in my mind. Im excited to get started! Time just hasnt been on my side being a parent and working full time and all. With time though. My original photography interest started with Astrophotography, however, my mind has opened up to so many possibilities, with this being one of them.
