You always want to have an Overkill pump and Overkill injectors so that you can run low duty cycle. This way you are putting less strain on the system and delivering exactly what the engine needs.

Adam, you can always use rubber undercoating and paint it after, it helps more than you would think, plus it doesn't make a metal on metal rattling sound if you have tools in the back.

600hp stock rb25 hahahahaha I think not the oil pumps fail around 3-400hp, not to mention head gasket. it's not a jz dude, rb26 yeah you'll get there with at least an upgraded oil pump mostly stock, check out motive's gtr they got 730 out a mostly standard 26, but 25s arn't that strong standard. here in aus if your going for upwards of 500 out of on rb most people go for a 30 bottom end with the 25 head, not many wild 25s around though.

5lcalais1 yea Ive seen their video, I was mainly talking about rods and pistons and yea I understand that 600+ is limits of stock engine and would never be reliable enough for Adam however putting all the time and money into the car for less that 500hp doesn't full make sense to me. I also understand that it's his car and he can build it how he wants and that he doesn't need 1000 hp because he has his 34jz coming but that seems to be a while away whereas this can be done in a month or so

I long time fan of the chanel I remember way back when the 240 was fresh to the videos, I've also got a JDM S13 in Australia with very similar mods to the r32, in the last video you talked allot about how this car was to be kept as a drift package inside a shell you don't care about but all that work for your surge system now has to be transfered too, idk I believe that an in tank 400 or 450 lph pump would have been a better option for the application, keen to see her running!

For the speedo drive use a D21 VG33 which are common in NZ which used gearboxes similar to Z32/RB25 but had a speedo cable. Genuine Part Number 32702-02G17. Then you'll need to get a pinion gear with the right teeth to match your R32 gearbox -part number 32703-N90xx the last two numbers you add for the teeth number eg. 32703-N9021 is 21 teeth etc or the cluster will read incorrect. the speedo cable will screw directly back on. Think FRsport has them on your side of the world if your local dealer can't bring one in.

Function before form. If all you need is sound deading just roll on plasti dip over the existing stuff and clear matte epoxy to seal it. Carpet when you want it, plasti when you don't. I personally enjoy the whirl of a fuel pump.

ADAM! Before you try to strip the sound deadening, do it this way! Pick up some dry ice, and pour it over the sound deadening, let it get very very cold, hit with hammer, vacuum up, you should still be able to preserve the paint, maybe need some rubbing alchohol to remove and adhesives manufacturer used. Ive always had good luck with this with e30/e36's

Your fuel system wont work how you want. You have one pump in the OEM tank feeding a surge tank with two pumps so you can avoid fuel starvation, kinda makes sense. Where you went wrong is your feed pump in the tank can still run dry since there isnt any fuel cell foam in the tank to stop fuel from sloshing around. Buy some fuel cell foam and shove it in OEM tank at a minimum.

Paint it with u-pol raptor. They have a black and a tintable kit. It's diy and cane be sprayed multiples way. It's a non skid texture and urethane based so super strong and chemical resistant. And sound deadening!!

Spray the trunk area with raptor bed liner. Get the tintable kind and tint it white. Very easy to do and you’ll get the white trunk and extra sound proofing.

You might not be down but for the trunk you should clean it up a bit and use por15, its great stuff and plus its very strong so if you did let it cure properly you can put a wheel there and never have to worry about it scratching

I think you should use the Ecumaster Dash, Mickey eseg a Surge tank on TJ's RX7 he mounted it under the car. Also Adam get some 3m self amalgamating tape for your kit box it sticks to it's self it can be used for a thousand things and is amazing in an emergency for stopping leaks like in hoses and other applications.

if your speed source, you should be able to feed the output from the digital speed sensor on the gearbox to one of the digital inputs on the ECU then adjust the signal rate in the ecu to give accurate speed. thats how mine is done on my Link. i then feed that back to my IQ3S via CAN.

We used Tessa tape for the longest time at work. We found out there is way way way better stuff at Home Depot. It’s in an orange/yellow case and it’s called friction tape. Trust me and try it, it’s a million times better

@adamlz - I believe youll need a R32 gtr speedo cable. Swap the speedo cog from Z trans speed sensor onto the gtr speedo cable. Need gtr cable for length. Also Z32 N/A driveshaft should work. Assuming Z32 trans dimensions are same as R33 Rb25 trans.

Personally i would run the flex fuel sensor in the loop to the rail, not in the loop to the surge. If you have a surge tank full of unleaded and fill your main tank with e85 the flex sensor will be reading an inaccurate blend of what is actually feeding your motor until it cycles through the surge tank. Although thats a very short period i may be a little pedantic.

the fuel system seems like the two DW pumps will out pump the one pump in the oem gas tank. Maybe i just don't understand how it works fully but in my head the small tank will become empty under a long pull or drift. I remember seeing this setup with two pumps in a fuel cell powering the 2 pumps in the DW tank with the same gph.
