My wife and I just made our first trip on Skyline Drive South in Central Utah. It was about 73 miles of dirt road with amazing views everywhere. We tried this road last year and encounter some serious rain. The road became so muddy, we couldn't even move. This year the weather was dry and clear. Most of the road is above 10,000 ft. elevation. We took our time and camped 2 nights. The weather was fantastic. There was a bit of road construction going on which made for a bit of a challenge. The enormous dump trucks took the entire road, so you had to be prepared to pull of the road. We got lucky and saw them coming and pulled off the road at the first opportunity. There wasn't a lot of traffic, but it was a bit difficult finding a vacant campsite. We claimed our sites early in the afternoon and did alright.
