This is a longer sample of my ride on the rest of Skyline Drive, from Swift Run Gap to Rockfish Gap. In an earlier video I rode south from the start to Swift Run Gap. This time, I entered at Swift Run Gap and rode south.

Virginia looks exactly like Tennessee. If you were suddenly transported to pretty much anywhere in East TN, you would not be able to tell you were in a different state.

I'm the same way my friend and I also use my GPS not cuz I don't know where I'm going I can watch it for Sharp curve ahead of me great video thanks for the ride along

In the UK and I use Waze sat nav, it also alerts you of police and speed cameras, potholes, broken down vehicles ahead etc.

Skyline drive, as well as the rest of the blue ridge parkway, is a bucket list item for me. I'm about 400 miles from Front Royal. Tell me it will be worth the trip.

Thanks for the comment. I have to be honest that I probably take Skyline Drive for granted. Some of it is tree covered nice roads but also similar to some of the back roads I ride right outside my door here in the country. For me, the overlooks are what it's about as I love the views. I've done only a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway and felt a bit the same way. Cool for the overlooks but otherwise it was a road with woods on both sides, at least the small part I did here in VA. Others may think I'm speaking heresy. I haven't done the entirety of the BRP and I could see that being a cool trip. On Skyline Drive, my two videos do a pretty good job of showing most of what it is like. I edited out maybe about half or a little more but the flavor of it is what you see. You would have to decide. I think it's a beautiful road to ride but I live only about 75 miles or so away.
