One little insight I love about this very smart girl. Between her heavy make-up. Padded costumed outfits. Wigs and Iconic headrest. Use of distorted voice apps. You could pass her on the street and never know it's her. Which is so smart of her to protect her safety and privacy. So often when a person becomes famous. People go after them for the money and the attention they can bring. Is it any wonder so many end up with drug and alcohol problems? Good for you girl you rock! Others take note of her play book.

Her identity is pretty well known if you do a quick Google search... But I think she does the look to make a clear distinction between her regular self and this side of her. After all, she has said before that making these songs has sometimes lead to her crying profusely, just thinking of all the pain the people who did these terrible things caused.

@@jeremiahreeves6238 Jeremiah, I stand corrected on her guarding her identity. . Which makes me sad that the age ones privacy is a thing of the past. I think of all the celebrities who fell into drugs and eventual suicide. Surrounded by people who merely exploited and abused them. So few despite the money they earned seem happy. That aside , I can only respect the fact that Skyn has done an amazing job exposing these monsters for the horrors they have caused. Keeping the memory of the events fresh in our minds. When news stories fade away and we quickly forget about them. Music sticks with us. To me it's a bit of justice for the victims. May they all RIP.

It's a good question and not something I've looked into a great deal. But from the music videos it does seem to imply that she plays a similar role.

She's the darkness in people, especially certain people. She's our "other side", the skinned version of who we are (hence SKYND); the version without the skin, without the masks we're forced to wear. She's your monster, the one that takes control late at night when no one is looking and you find yourself alone.
