OH MY GOD I just realised something. I have goosebumps. At 3:38 when he says “I just don’t know how to leave them you know” he begins to get up and TAKE THE SCARF OFF! That’s representative of Conrad getting out of the car because he didn’t want to go through with it! Literally the hairs on my arms are standing to attention. And then for that awesome instrumental portion afterwards, “Michelle” has a *really* satisfied look on her face as the actor for Conrad begins to fall down to the floor again. Amazing. How many times I’ve listened to this song and watched this video and I haven’t caught that until now. Edit: I also reckon the part where she screams I love you now die at the end is when Michelle pretends she’s sad.

pfft, "her sins". This is actually the weakest and least interesting topic and character out of the band's videos yet. A suicidal girl urged a suicidal guy to commit suicide and he commits it... what a surprise. Meanwhile such character like Gertrude Baniszewski exists (she was a babysitter who convinced 10-15 year old kids to torture and murder a girl called Sylvia Likens that she was supposed to look after for several months, and forced Sylvia's own sister to take part in systematic several month-long torture)

I’ve struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts since my teens and if I turned to someone to voice how I was feeling and they pushed me to do it the way she did with Conrad, I wouldn’t be here. Thankfully, I had people in my life that actually cared about me. Poor Conrad wasn’t so lucky.

Also, I imagine it to be quite grating after some time to deal with someone who keeps going on and on and on about wanting to commit suicide and then chickening out at the last moment. Especially when you're not mentally well yourself. Who knows how many times he'd done that before. Maybe she really did think death would be the better option. Maybe she did try getting him help before but he refused. We don't know everything. What she did was wrong, yes, but she's not some evil being to me. I honestly kind of get where she might have been coming from.

I she gave me them and told me if I really felt like I couldn’t go on she understood and I could at least go with dignity. Although I decided not to take the pills and that was over 6 years ago I’m really not upset at all at that friend because she understood that sometimes true “help” is to not try to prolong the suffering. We live in a world where everyone is so obsessed with the killer, this leads to never knowing the victims, or even their names. I love that Conrad is the only one In this video, he's story always breaks my heart. SKYND always makes the victims story heard in their videos ,and tries their best to keep it respectful. RIP. I love how Skynd's makeup in each video represents something about the crime. In the video for Tyler Hadley, it was a big "NO" and a big clown like smile, representing the triggers/motives for his actions. (He was restricted by his parents and then went for the crazy freedom of a party). In this one, it's entire white, no black lipstick or anything. My interpretation of it is that Michelle thought she was innocent and pure because she didn't get her hands dirty. Plus it adds to the overall foggyness that is of the form of death that Conrad suffered.

SKYND shines a light on many crimes that otherwise would be forgotten. She brings the victims to life and gives them a place, a meaning. I really don't know how to explain it. She brings the emotional and pain through art and dance. She is a genius, and I can't go a day without listening to them. I will say I have a favorite but I love them all. Chris Watts hits different though. Different style, I think because it was children She has the tone set different. It made me tear up...males me tear up every time I listen.

Something I find extremely disturbing about the text is “it’ll take 20 minutes” “you keep pushing it off” sounds as casual as he’s been putting off getting milk from the corner store. Skynd of course highlights that with their amazing production.

Ikr, like it's an everyday thing. Also manipulation with the "pushing it off". And giving safety "it'll take 20 minutes", it's easy, fast and "painless". She knew what she did. Reduced sentences due to good behaviour need to vanish, they are rubbish.

When she says "I love you" I get uncomfortable chills. Its so eerie and enchanting at the same time, like a spell is being cast. It's deeply unsettling how the sweetest words you can hear can be used to hurt someone. This song is about a woman who literally used them to destroy another human being. Christ.
