Devin McGrath and his friend Spencer flew the snot out of this and a Polaris at our club Float Fly in August. Since my only float planes are the UMX Turbo Timber with floats (tiny) and a Flite Test Sea Otter, this Seaplane looks like it will fit right in. I will put some packing tape on the bottom as well as some black bars for orientation underneath so I can fly it off grass or geotex. Thanks for re-releasing this!

My favorite plane i had was the hobbyking arctic cat. Ya know that boxy foam "Glu-n-go" kit. It was indestructable, taught me how to fly, and gave me an awesome FPV experience after crashing it for 2 years. This reminds me of that plane, and makes me want to try fixed wing again.

Same plane that AeroModel used to sell. Originally designed by Laddie Mikulasko as a balsa model. I’ve had both but this version looks like the best one yet.

Long-time owner of this epic little plane, V1 and a V2, wanting to throw some tips at anyone interested in the plane: It's a drill bit, be prepared for more roll than you expected the first time out. The CG is about a a finger's width back from the step in the hull. It takes to FPV great, as long as you have a fat heatsink on your VTX, as there's zero airflow in the fuselage. 30x30 flight controllers fit great, and this thing takes to iNav like Oreos take to milk. 1.5mil lamination film is the answer to protect the foam on the bottom, or do what I did and cover the whole thing, lol. 3S 2200 50C from Ovonic fits great, and matches up with the stock powertrain well. The rudder hinge should be shored up with hinge tape, if you plan on lots of ground landings. We may need to pick up another V2, now that it's in a white livery, (LEDs don't shine through the orange from inside)

How much space do you need to fly this?
@GhostRyderFPV6 ай бұрын
@@DKNguyen3.1415 Shes pretty quick, so I'd give it the standard allotment for a 3 cell plane, a baseball field for instance. Mine's FPV so I use even bigger spaces, but live in Florida where there's also a lot of rivers, lakes, and creeks - this thing is perfect for Florida!

@@GhostRyderFPV Darn. It looks so slow on the landing.
@FarmerFpv3 ай бұрын
@@DKNguyen3.1415 You can harrier it around really slow. It's only fast if you punch it. I fly mine in my front yard and back yard. Just keep it light. use the smallest battery that allows the correct CG. I fly mine a little tail heavy so I can harrier it around and do plop landings rather than it slide on the ground.

Great video. Got a question. You mentioned that while in High Alpha, after adding throttle, the Nose gets pushed "over" Do you mean Up or Down. Let me know please. I plan on getting this airplane next. THANKS.

Отлично смотрится и летает! Без опыта управления, наверное трудно управлять им? Велика вероятность разбиться?
