Former wrestler 'Kendo Nagasaki' fundraising for the Lee Rigby Foundation

Peter Thornley, formerly known as Kendo Nagasaki, speaks to Sky's Sarah Hewson about his new autobiography.
His debut in 1964 started a television icon for the next decade mostly for a feud with the wrestling duo of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks.
The man behind the mask, Mr Thornley has decided the proceeds from the book will go to support Lee Rigby’s Foundation. This was set up by the parents of the soldier who was murdered by extremists in 2014.
Lyn Rigby and Mr Thornley explain the importance of support networks in place for former soldiers.

Truly amazing to see/hear Peter/Kendo talk, first time EVER. I miss seeing him on what was World of Sport, he was a fantastic wrestler, we will never see his likes ever again.

I never thought I would see the day when Kendo would remove his mask and start doing interviews. Kayfabe for many years and doesn't look a day over 50. This takes me back to my childhood watching the wrestling on world of sport. I respect the positive work he's doing. Peter Thornley is an iconic legend.

Seeing this man in his 70s I can see the face of the guy who was unmasked by Big Daddy in 1975. Thanks for all the entertainment over the years. After all those years of keeping up the Kendo Nagasaki persona, what a gent Peter Thornley seems to be.

There is more than one Kendo Nagasaki. This guy is just one of them. The other was Japanese and wrestled in Florida in the 80s.
