'Monumental failure': Secret Service response during Trump shooting

Sky News contributor Evelyn Rae describes the Secret Service’s response during the Trump rally as a “monumental failure”.
There is increasing pressure on Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle following the inadequate response during the assassination attempt on Donald Trump
“It’s a monumental failure,” Ms Rae said.
“There’s only two options here.
“The option here is that it was known about, which we don’t have evidence for.

Diversity hire or not, when you assume the position of head of The Secret Service, that position necessarily comes with the highest level of responsibility. You do not get the luxury of an, "Oops." It is well documented that it is requisite of Secret Service, Special Forces & SWAT teams to, often, be asked to scale heights in order to cancel out *any possible access* which could plausibly be used to compromise the safety. Dereliction of duty at that level it the very *definition* of malice of for-site by omission.

Regardless of how anyone feels about Trump, Corey Comperatore's family and the two critically injured attendees deserve answers. Not only that, but Biden's Administration and the Secret Service should be paying for Corey's funeral and the medical bills for the two who were critically injured. They should step up and do the right thing, but we know that won't happen. All of them should sue. All current and former Presidents and their families deserve to be safe. Our taxpayers' dollars pay for this service. All attendees at these types of rallies, whether Democrat or Republican, deserve to be safe. If this situation was reversed and had happened at a Democrat rally for Pres. Biden, there would be outrage in the country, and more hate spewed at Republicans and Conservatives. Republicans are rightfully demanding answers. The Secret Service has just pretty much given this election to Trump.

Yes, audio analysis shows at least two very different distances, first three shots were at about 400-450ft, the next couple were about twice as far away at approx 800ft. Last shot was apparently from more like 1400ft and is thought to be the one that took out Crookes.

The Pennsylvanian Police Dept have confirmed that whilst 37 officers were enjoying a well earned rest in their temporary canteen they did hear someone crawling on the metal roof above them who appeared to be dragging something. However after consulting their Health and Safety manual they decided that as the roof had more than a 5 degree slope they were not authorised to inspect the source of the noise and anyway, the Secret Service had the roof covered by snipers, so decided to carry on enjoying their coffee and doughnuts. Meanwhile the Secret Service have confirmed that they were watching a man crawling on the same roof with a rifle but concluded that it must be a prank by one of the Policeman because after all, what genuine assassin would be so stupid as to attempt an assassination on a building containing 37 armed Cops.
