Even if Catherine was angry with Camilla, she would never show it in public, and neither would William. I was told the reason Catherine didn't curtsey was because she had already curtseyed to the Queen that day so it wasn't necessary to do it again, but even if that's not correct neither William & Catherine have got it in them to be so rude on such a special occasion when they know millions of people are watching. I think Tom Bower is right in what he says about other members of the Royal family's opinions of Camilla. William loves his father and respects his public service. I think she was high as a kite on pain killers and anti anxiety meds to get through the day. She didn't act like a normal functioning person at all. I think that by the time the actual day arrived, all they wanted to do is just get through it. So sad. It should be sort of like a second wedding, to the country and the people of it. It should be one of the most beautiful days of your life if you are lucky enough to have a coronation. Instead, it's like a death sentence. Even when you are liked, as the beloved late queen was, she was so alone up there going through all the motions. Kate will have her day to invite all her family, and her parents and siblings will have their places of honor, finally, as well. I think LOTS will change.

Camilla isn't Queen. Charles is King, but that doesn't make her Queen, just like when Queen Elizabeth was Queen, Prince Philip wasn't King. It's an affront to the crown to refer to her as queen. There is only one Royal on the throne, and that is the one who inherits it. She should only be Princess Camilla. That is why they are upset.

As an American, I was most impressed by Prince William's speech and his praise of his father. I believe Prince William will be an outstanding king (someday) and I can see his Amazing Mother, Princess Diana, in him. She lives on in her first born son and it is very comforting to see this and to know that he has a service heart, just like his mother did. Princess Diana left a lasting noble and humanitarian legacy that has influenced millions, so her light is eternal. Perhaps it isn't the truth about the lack of curties from the royal family to Camilla, who really knows--only they do. I am so heartened to see Prince William. He is a masculine Prince, the kind that will make a great leader. Queen Elizabeth was like that as an exemplary royal Queen. Diana lives on in Prince William. I love it.

@@sunshineandwarmth the Kennedy's were also responsible for the flood of gimmegrants into this country. Before them, there was no family chain immigration. One person couldn't bring in a host of relatives unless they had proof they could support each one. And an immigrant couldn't come in unless he was approved and able to support himself. So the country was basically mostly populated by hard working people, from a hard working ethos who wanted to get ahead, not people whose first act coming here was to break our laws, and then live on the taxpayer. By legal or illegal means, like crime.

As Her Majesty was in the same procession party as His Majesty the King, protocol suggests that bows or curtsies be offered only to the latter. No slight intended or offered by the Princess of Wales or any of the others in the Abbey who behaved in exactly the same way.

Neither the king nor his so called wife can walk with their heads high, I know if I was either of them I couldn’t keep mine up. We (my siblings, 10 of us) were all brought up with little or no money but we were reared with manners and morals and no one can point a finger at any of us for having loose morals, none of us would ever marry a king or have the opportunity to Mary one but there’s much better men walking around who would treat his wife like a queen even though they have no money but I know which wife would be much better off.

I don’t understand how William or Harry can stand their father or his wife. That is the woman that Charlie told Diana about the day before their wedding and said that he had no intention of braking off the relationship. Charles ruined that young girl’s life. He and his “other woman” could not provide the heir that was required so he found himself a younger body that could produce that heir. Then he had the nerve to complain that she was nervous and depressed throughout the marriage! Diana could have gone on with her life as a teacher and married a halfway normal man but NO! Charlie wanted her! She checked all the boxes. He has had all of these years to fill the boy’s heads with his lies. It seems that Brits have a very short memory. Now the “other women” who was also married at the time, is their queen! Unbelievable!
