‘Ignorant’: Rita Panahi slams ‘Queers for Palestine’ movement

Sky News host Rita Panahi has slammed the Queers for Palestine movement for being so “ignorant and self-involved” while the activist group participates in protests across the world.
One member of the group, who identified as a trans non-binary person, said there are queer people who live in Palestine.
“People are trying to tell queer people they can’t be part of what is going on Palestine and I just want to be here for queer Palestinians and every Palestinian,” she said in an interview posted to the Red_Wave_Republicans Instagram page.
The activist group also held up traffic on Manhattan Bridge in New York City last week as they expressed solidarity with Palestinians.
“Where were your protests when queer people in Palestine were fleeing to Israel to avoid brutal persecution?” Ms Panahi said.
“If you don’t understand that radical Islam has zero tolerance for your lifestyle then frankly you’re too dumb to be part of any discussion.”

My son is an 8th grader. He was given the opportunity to suit up and sit with our varsity football team on a Friday night. Jack is 14, 6’2, 205 pounds, with a 14.5 shoe size, kid is a beast. My husband and I were two min from the stadium when they started the anthem. Every single person in that stadium and parking lot, stopped, hats off, hand on heart, there were several who got out of the cars to stand. I told my husband later, that we don’t realize what we have in our community. People that love this country, families that have given their lives to serve, families that gave and then lost their children for this country. We know our neighbors, I don’t worry about our kids, somebody sees something, they act. Your kid acting foolish, an adult will correct it. We are one of the last strongholds for times gone by. When America was strong and honorable, when race became irrelevant, when gays were part of the towns they lived in, when kids could spend the night at the kids house down the street, when daughters were made strong and became good women that followed their dreams and had families. We are blessed to have this little piece of what the Founders dreamt for us all. Lebron James is a great basketball player, he is not worthy of what he has been given through his grit and hard work. If he, and all the rest like him, cannot show respect to this country, get out. We don’t want his ilk here. My son played under the lights that night. He played 8 minutes, as an 8th grader, breaking every rule on the books about who can play. We won that game. The coaches, players, mentors, and my son, bent the knee on the field when game was done. They said a prayer of thanks. Not only to the Christian God, but to Allah, to all Gods of all faiths. Our stadium is able to hold 1500, it was packed that night, we all cried with pride for these future fathers, men, leaders. That is what we need, not the disrespect to our country.
