Take a look at the voting statistics for the 2024 election and you find the older pensioners (the ones Starmer is hoping to kill by hypothermia) are the demographic least likely to vote Labour. This is, in part due to their having lived through the Callaghan Labour government that was so bad the country voted Thatcher in several times despite her less than cuddly nature in fear of more Callaghan style nightmare.

Not only will there be old people who will die from the cold, there will be also those who will give up, and take their own lives. Winter is a really bad time for old people, many suffering from the winter blues, i.e. Severe depression, which is a life-threatening condition, something that my wife suffers from. They have enough to cope with without having the added problem of how to keep warm, a basic necessity. This government has to be the most inhuman one in history! Not only will Labour be saving money by cutting off the winter fuel payment, they will be saving money on the dead pensioners whose pension they will no longer have to pay

Starmer has attacked our old people. How does he think that helps anything? Martin Lewis who is a financial expert , is encouraging all pensioners to see if they can claim the pension credits because he says very few claim it and it leads to being likely to be able to claim the fuel payments AND other things. Therefore there will be more people claiming pension credits than ever before , this will cost the country MORE than if they had just paid all pensioners the fuel payment. The prisoners are likely hand picked. I believe the bibi stockholme was previously used to house dock workers and they were very keen to get the contract back and use it for that purpose once again.. It seems mad that those who are living on the streets as law abiding homeless will be overlooked and ex prisoners housed for free and many of the prison places were immediately filled with those who were arrested for speaking against immigration and knife crimes.

I’ve put a claim for pension credit. This was in Scotland and lo and behold I now have to fill in a review form for my housing benefit within 7 days or I will lose my benefit. It’s not always a good idea to claim pension credit.

Pensioners are not just turning their heating off. We have to cut back on food because of the cost of living hikes. We also can’t afford the electricity to cook hot food every day. We also have to wash in cold water because the cost of heating the water cost too much when the gas boiler fires up. Life is a bl@@dy misery and this winter is going to see thousands of pensioners die of cold. On top of all the cost hikes the water company now wants an extra £9 per month. It’s a disaster.

EVERYONE is going to struggle this year with energy rises, not just pensioners. Meanwhile, the CEO's and shareholders continue to benefit with pay increases and dividends.
