Well, Wind and Solar is fine for generatiing energy IF there's enough of either. While Dutton is a nice or likable guy - it is not about him being nice. Its about issues/concerns that matter to people, its about policies that address those concerns. Dutton was with Morrison last time around but look where they are now. Dutton/Morrison were nice when they won the election before last; they were nice when they lost the last election; and they are still nice now. So, its not being nice that will win election (although its important too). Its about policies that will win elections. Dutton/Morrison were weak on policies - as they say thier platform was labor-light. Indeed they were labor light. It seems to me that Labor did not win the last election; its just that Morrison/Dutton did not win the people (unlike the previous election) because the people were frustrated that Morrison/Dutton capitulated on (green) policies, seemingly afraid that they will be alienated by the people thinking that the majority of the people were woke. They forgot that in the elections before the last where they won, Morrison/Dutton were on the ropes already during the waning seconds (due largely to their capitulation), lo and behold, Morrison/Dutton suddenly raised the flag of anti-green and salvaged the election. That sudden do-or-die decision to go against the green platform at the last minute of that selection was kind of a winning knockout blow to Labor in a losing fight. Dutton has similar posturing until now -- very cautious on policies seemingly afraid to antagonize the left/center-left. Its very un-Trump. Trump is different in that he is not afraid about policies: Trump being anti-green/progressive would stick his policies to the liberals/left throat. Hope Dutton and his party would learn his lesson: or take lesson from Trump. So far, only Mat Canavan and his party as well as One Nation are doing things Trump-like.
