‘Everything I touched turned to gold’: Mark Bosnich

Former professional footballer Mark Bosnich reminisces about his time playing with UK powerhouse football clubs like Manchester United, to his struggles with addiction, but says “regardless of what went on during that period I’m very, very lucky”.
Mr Bosnich told Sky News host Chris Smith about his teenage years when he had a trial at Liverpool before eventually signing with Manchester United and said, “everything I touched turned to gold”.
In 2008, Mr Bosnich was heavily targeted by the Football Federation Australia to return home and play in the A-League, and described his reaction as “are you sure, because I’ve got more luggage than the Queen”.
“The Bottom line is regardless of what went on during that period I’m very, very lucky because a lot of people would give their right arm to have the experiences I’ve had,” he said.

Bosnich defo wishes he could go back and right some wrongs. But all said and done he was a good keeper. A loose cannon off the field and let's be honest if sir Alex at the time gets you back for another stint at united at that time you must have had something.

I was at that Tranmere game and Mark was on fire throughout the 90 mins and extra time, he made some decent saves as Tranmere were putting pressure on so much

The only player Sir Alex signed twice. If it wasn’t for his kicking - Bosnich couldn’t been the best goalkeeper in the world.

His kicking was fine at Villa. He was overweight and lazy at Man Utd so his whole game suffered. Had a couple of really good games but all in all was a joke. Very sad, should've had lots of years there.
