History of the Sydney Swans

The Sydney Swans have a long and rich history as the first Aussie Rules club to be based outside of Victoria.

Grew up going to see South play every week. So very hard to barrack for them when they went to Sydney, but looking back I can well and truly understand. Blood flows red and white.

The 1st interstate clubs are naturally born were the Brisbane bears & west coast eagles 5 years after the swans in sydney

Bear were not born. They were MELBOURNE CLUB, FITZROY.
